Catalytic converters!

Salam everyone, I wanted to confirm k kitney catalytic converter hote hain passo mien? 2012 model hai mers! aik to manifold k saath hots hai jis per O2 sensors hote hain, phir resonator laga hota hai!
Kya uske baad aik or catalytic converter hota hai muffler se phele? hamien shayad silencer wale ne misguide karke aik or lagadiya hai wahan per. mien picture attach kar rha hoon, please batadien k ye yahan per hona chahiye ya straight pipe hota hai ye.

Most of the JDMs only come with single Cat. Converter.

Its position is always in the exhaust pipe before muffler.

Are you seeing more than one cat. Converters on your vehicle ?

Why did you visit silencer shop?

And after that are you feeling any difference in performance pick up when you rev. up ?

oh i see, well in toyota passo, there is also one just after the exhaust manifold, and then one more which is down below(under the car).
My dad usually drives the car so he said the one that is now fitted down below does feel like as if it has reduced the pick of the car, and dropped fuel milage.
Although i went there when this work was done. The car had alot of noise( thats why we went to the silencer shop) , he then fitted a daihatsu muffler, a daihatsu resonator and a chinese cat. and the one he took out from under the car was totally busted. its honeycomb like texture had already gone, so we assumed that there is one supposed to be under the car as well. Still i want some experts to confirm it.

There is one catalytic converter just after the exhaust manifold. There are two oxygen sensors (one before the catalytic converter and one after it). All other boxes after this are resonator boxes. If you car exhaust system has been messed about with, I suggest to track down a used system form the scrap market. Of course the converter will have to be a new one.

A typical Passo system. Please note that there are different exhaust configurations on the Passo, so I am not sure how many boxes your car is supposed to have. The picture above does not show the converter. That thing is fitted before this assembly.

Here is the converter. It is fitted vertically between the manifold and the exhaust pipe system pictured above.

oh so then i think the one fitted down below is the one that he fitted extra!
Perfect then, i would be getting that removed!
Thanks thatclears alot of my confusion, my average was getting a hit as well. i will get a resonator fitted instead of that!
