I wonder if the point about lack of competition for supply of taxis for Punjab government taxi schemes was highlighted? Why did only Napak Suzuki supply cars for it? Why weren't FAW, Honda, Toyota cars considered for it (inclusive of CBU options)? This issue comes well within authority of CCP to deal with.

yeah I also like to believe that FAW carrier is ahead of sales or at least neck to neck with that of Shitzuki's RAVI... Hope I'd be right but thats true, no mega carry on roads for sure

Quality issues are exaggerated. All parts are sent to Japan for approval and five units of newly launched cars are sent to Japan for testing and approval and after that cars are brought into market.

In 1990 New Zealand was making 200,000 to 30,000 Toyotas then then they started importing certified used cars and now their plant is shut.

NZ has a population of 5 million. They decided not to subsidide Japanese business on the taxpayer dollar, because cost of logistics is too high, cost of labour is too high and there's no economy of scale. Australia had a local industry and doesn't allow JDMs, but again high cost of labour meant the car companies couldn't keep these plants profitable.

-Alloy rims plant is being brought from Melbourne by Suzuki, while IMC is bringing a plant from Toyota Adelaide.

There is no Toyota plant in Adelaide. Toyota's Australian HQ is in Altona, Melbourne and their Asia Pacific Design Centre is based in Notting Hill, also Melbourne.
