I am planning to buy two phones next year. I think i will get pixel 2 and note 8. I hope they get cheaper soon. Not buying any phone as they are launched coz they get cheaper way too quickly. I'm gonna get them from UAE. Will buy the pixel for the camera and note 8 for multimedia consumption. Any idea when pixel and note 8 is gonna get cheaper?

My friend was coming from China he brought me all xiaomi items like Bluetooth handsfree for 750 which cost 1750 here
20000mAh power bank 2 for 2300 which cost 3300 something here
Roidmi of xiaomi car charger got it for 760 which cost 1200 at least here
And outstanding flip and silicon cover original xiaomi for 39 and 19 Yuan respectively which is way cheaper and not even available in Pakistan
So if any of ur friend going to China just ask him to bring xiaomi items (u can use them or resell as u wish)

Even camera was not upto the mark. Especially the front camera.
Loss was bearable so I disposed it off. I paid 3k on top of it and bought iPhone 8 Plus

Good decision( i hate samsung cams bcz its so fake but its good for the ladies bcz they dnt hv to use makeup for taking selfies- to much skin smoothness).. the thing you faced in typing was? Is it the slow response of the keys compared to iphone or was it the screen size? Plz clarify this.. also i have heard that iphone 8 n 8 plus batteries are popping up as apple itself is looking at this matter then y you bought iphone 8 plus? Im still waiting for next year to make my final decision for buying apple just bcz iphone 8 battery issue n iphone X non avalibility issue.. heard apple will also b launching the iphone 11 with on screen fingerprint (which is making me wait abit more for that)

Yes, very well explained about Samsung Cam. Front cam was somehow blurry. I didn't like its selfie especially in the low light.

Yes it was slow and lagging while typing the keys. Keys were not responding properly. Like, if i was typing A toh Q likha ja raha tha tha.

We heard alot of such things after every iPhone model even these rumours were circulating about iPhone 7 last year.

Apple will definitely launch phone with fingerprint screen but not in near future.

It is not a huge discount and will cost u same almost after duties and custom

Although I had iPhone 3gs from 2010 till 2015 but I can confirm this thing that typing on iPhone is so natural and intelligent that after switching to many Androids I feel typing was much better rather accurate on iPhone than on Android

This ios vs android typing thing is all on psychological level.

Using iPhone 8+, Note 8 (re-purchased today) and Redmi 4X.

No difference at all in typing or touch response, the only issue is people buy 80000-100000 set, but then they don't have "budget" to install a good screen protector and then it causes touch response etc like issues. Branded high quality screen protector are must for curved screens.

Note 8 curved screen is a little annoying while typing on edges but i put keyboard at centre and now it does not cover edges and it's all good.

I do a lot of typing on all devices (MS Word, MS Excel) while projecting screen on LED, never felt any difference in typing.

Just sharing my experiences.

Keyboard app bug
Software bug
Screen protector
Touch digitzer especially after screen glass replacements.

Thats y i prefer apple bcz once anyone uses apple he will have a whole new experience thats the only reason i hate android i hate the cams n the lagging of keyboard..!! LG on the other hand is better in cam it show some realistic results but LG phones are not sucessful in pakistani market..!! And I heard the rumors that the iphone 11 will get the on screen fingerprint but lets hope they vl bring that bcz right now i cant afford to buy the iphone 8 bcz within 6 7 months 2 iphones will emerge in the market iphone X n the 11..!! Will wait till march 2k18 then vl decide IA.!

I vl disagree with u bcz i myself kept android phones last one was s7 which i kept for only 2 days n replaced that with iphone 6s plus I think if samsung remove its own UI or theme watever u guys call it n just give it a pure android look then mayb the keys vl respond much better but i also felt this difference between android n IOS..!! N now apple n samsung is going neck to neck in prices so i think there will be less arguments regarding the class of apple n its logo etc etc its more of a personal choice now in todays world where there are alot of good competitors offers good features..!! But lets be honest here, those ppl who still have the non referb iphones 4 n 4s are running perfectly fine no lagging n no other issues at all.. compare them now with their competitor models of that time u vl feel a hug difference ( thats the class which apple provides regardless of the logo they have n i havent seen any company providing the same quality)..!!

Yaar i spent Rs.2000 just for Screen Protector. I even typed without protector but issue was there.

Anyway, why the cam is not upto the mark especially in low light.

I think u got a faulty set, like S7 had issues with selfie camera. I am a Samsung Hater n Half heatedly bought Note 8 this saturday. No typing or selfie issues with me ( making use of S Pen n just writing msgs back in whatsapp).

Not Writing this for Iphone or Android war, I believe IOS is the best option for people who want hassle free fone n need only calls n msgs n have to use camera occasionally.
I went to buy Iphone 8 plus, checked the demo n shocked to see the look of a 100k fone, it looks like plastic and apple is calling it Glass (ref Honor 8). same camera as Iphone 7+ even portrait lightning was a joke, software full of features which can b found in 6s, less fast charging n wireless charging which many people will not use due to expensive accessories. I like iphone for its software but my 5s has almost all these options
Apple atleast disappointed me with 8+, Iphone X might b the upgrade people want.

A request to all members that they should write pros n cons of the fones they purchase so one can simply look n decide according to their requirement.
Bought Honor 8 lite for a friend n there is no Twin App feature in the fone, its a real disappointment. Xiaomi Note 4 and Honor 8 Lite were the options but size n camera resulted in buying Honor. Not expecting much from a 20k fone in terms of features.
For Note 8 Im unable to find how to block banner for incoming msgs, on such a big screen everyone sitting around can see the msg, either it goes to complete silent or show banner, speaker sound is not loud, AKG headfones supplied in the box are great. with headfones quality is great but not loud for my liking(iphone with these headfones is great). Comparing Camera with Honor 8 n 7+, note 8 is miles a head (dont go for DxO Mark rating), quality can easily be seen in Raw images. Finger print scanner is positioned really Awkwardly. Due to HDR video enabled Youtube gives the feature of HDR in video settings, I checked same video side by side on S8,Honor 8 n 7+ n difference is visible, although there are not many videos on Youtube supporting HDR. HDR supported or not is not a deal breaker. 1st time used S pen n its amazing, writing notes while fone is off is helpful for me.
will update if any cons are found in future.
