Cell Phone Stolen

i know many ov us think stolen mobiles can be unlocked but m pretty sure not.

My father's mobile got stolen. Since it was a Samsung, i had the tracker thing on with my number as well as my brother's fed in it. for those who do not know, when a sim is changed, the mobile automatically sends an sms with the IMEI number from the new sim. this way you get both the sender's number as well your phone's number to tell the police. anyhow, i called the guy up and he refused to accept. my brother called too and the guy claimed to have bought it. a few days later, he rang by bro up begging to get the phone unlocked claiming to have found it somewhere on the ground. the obstinate guy never returned it but at least we got convinced complaining works.

if every victim ov cellphone robbing does the same, perhaps this menace would end one day.

Thanks for your kind response.... ma Dad's 2 cell phone was stolen from his office around 2 years back... at that time...i got both of them blocked.... through CPLC... after a week or so... by chance ma Dad met a person who was in some Govt job and said that he could get them recovered... i gave EMEI number to him and both cell phone were located through EMEI numbers...... both phones were on and UNBLOCKED ... thats y they were traced.....

Unfortunately.. that contact is no more... and i thought not to waste time on CPLC because of this reason

No Brov.. i did'nt registered any complaint, neither did got the phone blocked.... but thinking to once register complain with CPLC....
