Guys need some advice.
I have a budget of 20k and I am absolutely in love with LG G2. But brand new is very expensive.
I am also considering an S4 as well.
Now there r many shops in Saddar. Khi selling kits claiming them as non refurbished and just like new. R they trustful. How can I know if phone is refurbished or not and is it worth it. They r selling G2 and S4 for 17k. Should I go for it or get a box pack grand prime?
Anything else u guys recommend?

These days market is full with refurbished and American carriers phones. Try to find some good deal on olx or any reputable selling site, store or forum. HSN recently was selling factory refurbished for 24k with all acc and box.

try swift connection i bought 2 Lg G2 from them ..yes these phone are trustful .

Swift connections do not have D802 model and I don't know how is 3g running on other models as heard some people having issues with 3g on ls980 or D800 at&t etc..

By the way which variants you bought from them?

I would like to share my experience with G2's bought... I bought LG G2 D802 in black and it had serious REBOOT issues on it's on. Luckily, got it replaced from shopkeeper.

Someone told me D802 has got lollipop update so I tried searching xda got lucky to find the correct trust worthy procedure. It was plain and simple, just Wi-Fi OTA update but my phone used to say " YOUR PHONE IS NOT REGISTERED ". I never knew what it meant until someone told me that this error comes when a custom Rom is installed on a G2.

Then I tried another procedure, LG PC suite. It detected my phone as D800. And I had to re download D800 Rom (official). Download completed, everything went smooth without any errors but when I turned on the phone, the touch didn't seem to respond well.... Infact, almost impossible to operate...

Once again, I forcefully tried installing D802 Rom and still touch was same as before...

I gave up, went to market and people told LCD needs to be replaced. I returned home. I was depressed and had no idea what had just happened with it... Out of nowhere, I decided to disassemble the phone myself...

What I saw inside literally shocked me.
Outer body had D802
Inner frame had D800 written
And motherboard of LS980

My advise would be to buy from home shopping.
Local G2's are all Crap. Worst case scenario, they're refurbished locally here in Hall road and Karachi

Before going for all this khuwari did u try update touch firmware option? And LG G2 is known to come up with weird errors if you install custom ROM. My suggestion is try the update touch firmware and see the results. 99% of the time the problem is associated with software instead of hardware.

Sorry to hear about your loss bro, did you bought it from local shop? The things you mentioned are easy to check right on the shop by opening the cover how did you missed it?

Bro G2 is completely sealed. You can not access battery etc by taking off the cover like on most samsung phones!

But I think you can remove the cover? and to see D800 battery needs not be removed... right? And there must be model number mentioned in settings.

In settings, everything was D802
And LG G2 has NON replaceable battery and removing back cover is not like removing of any other phone.... It's sealed

Yes u can see it via software. I have D802 and as you can check it via the software version, the first four characters are the model no.

You can remove the cover but not without sophisticated tools bro. Repair shops personnel can usually open them. So you can't check anything below the surface of the phone with bare hands!

hmmmm... its bad those cheaters do it for some bucks... I never bought any used phone due to this fear. But I like G2 so much that was too planning to get a used one as new is expensive but now will think twice.. I hear swift connections have good reputation so may try them.

I think we should ask shop keeper to open the back cover so we can check it from inside to.. I think that special tool is a shim...

That G2 was new ( according to shopkeeper ). He said, American lot ai ha something like that. By hearing this, by checking packaging, by physically examining the phone, it looked BRAND NEW. Didn't even bother disassembling it before buying

Many of these 9/10 condition slightly used imported phones are usually used for atleast one year, treated like crap and then sent here, where they replace its body to new or less scratched. Many of these so called scratchless sets are like that.

It was extreme case where it had too many changes, but many phones are atleast body changed.

So it is better to get these from reliable shop, or to get a brand new phone.
