AoA members. I am in SA right now for Hajj and was wondering if it's a right place to buy a cell phone being cheaper than Pakistan. I am not much concerned with local warranty as my last Samsung GS4 and current GS5 duos were UK and KSA bought phones but purchased in Pakistan. I want to stick to Samsung and want a Samsung A3 for my wife and a note 4 duos or S6 Duos for myself. I hv checked prices in shops inside my hotel fairmount and they are equal or more than Pakistan. Any specific area someone can recommend?

There's always something suspicious about brand new phones in Pakistan.

If it's equal (or less) than Pak, go for it in KSA. At least you know it'll be legit.

Infact it's got to be lot cheaper than Pakistan. But unfortunately I do not know the areas or market where the prices are good. Anyone from KSA can please guide me

As good as new r highly doubtful phones IMO as they r probably refurbished. And in what price r u getting note 4 ?

sir almost good as new few scratches here and there but not that much abused price vendor quoted was 42 for n910c with 10 days check/replacement warranty
agreed they can be doubtful i m using tmobile lg g3 for a year now and it is working flawlessly

I had HTC Butterfly it was verizon, it didn't work
Z1 was o2, it worked !
Note edge was T mobile, it didn't

A5 (SM-A500F) is 37k with official warranty.

My dad has the 3G only version (SM-A500H), it's quite good. Very light and the build quality is excellent.
It's updated to lollipop and performance is very good as well.

If your iPhone 5 is in really good condition with original box then expect around 20k for it.

SM-A500H (Official warranty): 35k

I got a smuggled one with no warranty.
They usually come from UAE or any of these gulf countries.

But make sure to check for refurbished stuff ! Markets r full of refurbished, avoid it.

And can u tell me how is GPS connectivity in ur G3 ? I used one for few days and my cousin also has one. In both the sets GPS takes good 15-20mins to connect. I found it very very weak as compared to Samsung n Motorola.

Yes, it will cause problems. iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy S6/S5 have expansive replacement.

Samsung has the most expensive screens or if any other manufacturer is using super Amoled it will be expensive as well, The screen cost the half the amount of the phone in these type of phones price of the parts will gradually fall as the phone become old.
