Actually we all have Samsung cell phones in the family and we are all very comfortable with the interface / menu etc. Easy backup/ easy data transfer etc.

I slightly updated it today. Its best phone in 20000/-, though the pros and cons have been pointed out, but I am loving my Galaxy J5.

There are two non warranty 4G models, J500F and J500G. 16GB model is difficult to find, but I suggest getting that one. F variant is better but I use G variant, though specs are same.

There is also 3G non warranty model J500H.

They are available in Blue Area and Jinnah super for ~20000/-.

U did the biggest mistake of buying this j7 I went to mobile shop in Jinnah super isb as I m looking now a days for a new phone in 25-30k range so the shop keeper showed my j7 and said k bhai is ko market main aai hoye 1week hoya hai aur acha phone hai I saw the box and impressed that it has octa core processor as I through it would be around 23k but when I asked about ram of this phone the shopkeeper lied to me that it has 3gn of ram and then i said much garbar hai and I left the shop as 28k is still v much over priced for this phone and then I checked the specs it comes like it has 1.5gb ram with android 5 and no autobrightness availible and that's enough for me as a deal breaker.U should have read some reviews of it before buying anyways best of luck with the sale

Lux auto brightness app can make the front camera work as light sensor for auto brightness adjustments. Though you will need to manually set profiles of screen brightness vs ambient light, so that it auto adjusts brightness as per your liking.

Just for info, as its open forum so if someone needs to do that. But I suggest to do it only if its very necessary.

This app can also help to adjust phone light sensors too, for optimum auto brightness adjustment of their own liking.

For non technical person, J500G=J500F.

For technical person, F is European model, G is South East Asian model.

European models have better support of custom roms etc.

Generally, F variants have more resale value, but i believe both J5 F and G variants have equal resale here, as they have exact same specs and hardware.

So guys i bought a J5G lte version for 20.5k guys the issue is when it is connected to pc phone starts charging and is detected as samsung_android and it doesnt shows mass storage in my computer nor samsung kies detect it it says unsupported and the mass storage menu on phone doesnt come for selecting mtp or mass storage etc options like on older phones like kitkat etc but it is detected by mobogenie only and works fine so guys please check this and let me know if your phone does the same or i have to goto shopkeeper

Newer phones are not compatible with kies. I did get the same unsupported notification with my S6. Nothing to worry about.

However, when it comes to some custom ROMs, it all depends on what phone the developer actually HAS.
If he has the F variant, the ROM will most probably be available for F and G variant, but the F variant will be more stable, and the G Variant running on the same custom ROM will have a few bugs.
If he has the G variant, the ROM for that will be stable and it will be unstable for the F variant.

It's like Note 4.
N910F and N910G.
Both have Snapdragon 805, both have 3GB RAM. Just difference in CSC, and enabled LTE bands. N910F is FD-LTE and N910G is TDD-LTE because it's used in India and Australia.
However, the CyanogenMod build on their website just states Note 4 International but no specific model.
This is because they have unified the builds for both models. So during the flash, the recovery and updater-script will check the build.prop, confirm Device ID and model and then continue the flash.
In most cases, all N910F ROMs should work on N910G. They share the exact same hardware.

What do you want most from your phone? Battery timings, camera, video recording, display sharpness or whatever?. Knowing this is the most important step in phone decision or recommendation, which NO ONE here mentions.

You can get imported new Core Prime 3G or 4G (G361H or G361F) in this budget too.

G361 is latest model of G360 having Android 5.1.1. It was being sold at ~12500/- brand new in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Best option, and better than Pakistani Core Prime (G360H).
