1.2 octa core Kirin 620 is not very good in standby times, as I tested both Honor 4C and P8 Lite thoroughly about the battery drain issue, before going for Galaxy J5. I was in mood to get Huawei this time due to better features, but i wanted excellent battery timings, so I chose J5.
Other than standby times, Honor 4C and P8 Lite battery timings is fine for normal use and not that bad as the people say. They are actually very good phones, very responsive and very good features.
They could have either put a power efficient chipset or a larger battery and it would be better. Even Infinix Zero 2 has 2.0 octa core with 2300 mah battery and it still has impressive battery timings.
Better get the Snapdragon 615 version of P8 Lite, hard to find btw. It has minimal battery issues.
Maybe Homeshopping.pk or ishopping.pk have it. ishopping.pk is more reliable though.
Snapdragon 615 is said to be an octa core, but it has actually two separate quad cores instead of a single octa core (like kirin 620). One is very power efficient quad core and the other is very powerful quad core. Only ONE of the TWO of quad cores can run at a time.
In standby and lighter tasks, the power efficient quad core runs ONLY.
In demanding tasks, the powerful quad core runs ONLY, which is almost equally powerful as an octa core.
Octa core and quad core is just a specification on paper and a way fool to people. An octa core is NOT ALWAYS better than a quad core.
Even Snapdragon 810 and Galaxy S6 Exynos has two quad cores, instead of a single octa core, that works exactly the same way as snapdragon 615.
This means that 'Quality Mobiles' win[emoji14].
Android One phones will not get updates from Google directly btw.
