Which would you choose between the Zero 2 and P8 Lite?

I would choose Huawei P8 Lite from the two choices, for being a phone from one of the top brands offering very good specs. Huawei is 2nd best Chinese brand after Xiaomi.

Brand matters a lot to me, NOT for show off, but for the reason, that well known top brands comply with "highest" safety and health standards, to minimise safety hazards and health risks (SAR and radiation exposure etc) associated with smartphones use.

Phones not complying with these high standards give headaches and a lot of other health concerns. Use Internet on Qmobile for continuously for an hour or two and you will know what i am talking about.

This is why I stick to well known top brands, even if i have to sacrifice some features.

Infinix also complies with many safety and health standards (atleast on papers, don't know the actual reality), but Huawei is better.

Overall P8 Lite is better. Along with features and drawbacks mentioned by vagabondpiper, it has notification LED too.

Notification LED is a major requirement for some people.

HTC Desire 816
It's a great phone in this range. You can also go for J5 aswell.

HTC desire 816 has very impressive battery timings and camera too.

But its more than 1.5 year old phone since its release, so outdated now. But still a great phone, as I kept it for a week and then sold to a friend who is still very happy with it.
