@s15 How would you rate the Xiaomi 1s now? Is it still worth getting? I dont care if it has 1 gigs of ram, neither do I mind Jellybean out of the box. Thing is, I've been fascinated by this phone ever since it's release last year, never got a chance to buy one because no one at the time was selling these. Is it worth buying in, say a sub 10k budget?

Xiaomi Redmi 1S is not a very good choice, as 1GB RAM is not sufficient for smooth user experience. 1GB RAM is just for light to moderate use only. Avoid getting 1GB RAM phones when you can get 1.5-2GB RAM phones in a very slightly higher price.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 prime (not the Redmi note 2 prime) costs slightly more than Redmi 1S, but it is new and a lot better, having 2 GB RAM and Snapdragon 410. Meizu M2 (purchasable via AliExpress) also costs same as Infinix Hot 2 and Redmi 2 prime, but Meizu and Xiaomi are almost twice better than Infinix Hot 2, plus they have Xiaomi and Meizu label on it, which are one of the top best Chinese smartphone brand.

Its actually interesting to see how an unknown brand like Infinix rips off people by keeping prices higher and offering lower specifications than its competitors Xiaomi and Meizu phones. I may sound a bit harsh about Infinix, but with the passage of time, people will understand my point of view.

Do a little research on Meizu and Xiaomi. Compare them with Infinix. Its quite interesting.

What Infinix provides is offered by Xiaomi and Meizu at a much lower price. This is why Infinix never surprises me, because i have seen and experienced a lot better within same price.

Compare Redmi 2 prime and Meizu M2 with Infinix Hot 2. They all have almost same prices.

Everyone knows S6 is far better than J5 but in that video, J5 was head to head with S6. Infact, beat S6 in some cases.

It was more about Latest TouchWiz general performance, that it performs very decently on latest flagships as well as budget devices. It had other phones too.

That's true. As we all know, YouTube has this pay per view system so people come up with these type of unusual non sense videos to get some viewers. In reality, these type of test are useless.

I agree with you. MIUI is fantastic as well. Only if they build up proper distribution channels. They can leave all of these brands behind.
The new Hot Note 2 seems well priced. How are its specs at that price point compared to Xiaomi or others?

I am always fond of high end phones but my decision of trying the Q with its Z series is something I am enjoying a lot... Z10 their latest Z series one is something beyond my user experience. Really blazing fast, 3 gigs of ram, octacore, 400+ PPI, front cam with flash, dual sim and Lte supported..what else do one want I am using it for ten days now

I know brother, I'm a big fan of premium Chinese phones myself, my Jiayu lasted a good 2 years, still works but the battery has gone kaput, I myself am not in favor of the Infinix much, it's just a low end, budget smartphone, nothing more nothing less, very good marketing strategies though! Agree to the comment about people understanding by the passage of time, that's what happened to Qmobile. So, where can I get a Redmi 2 Prime or a Meizu?

Also, anyone else hate the exclusion of a notification LED from these newer phones? What newer phones have the LED?

It is a very good phone. Camera is good, doesn't lag with 1.7 octa core and 2gb ram, great battery timing.

That's actually their proper way of selling. It saves them a lot of costs.

Hot Note 2 price competitors are Meizu M2 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Lenovo K3 Note and they are offering FullHD resolution displays too. You can look at the specifications to see more differences and decide yourself about their pricing. They are not very easily available in Pakistan, but finding them is still worth the effort.

But the biggest strength of Infinix is that its official in Pakistan and no parts availability issues in case of repairs, but still i find their products prices to be a bit on higher side, considering that fact that's its not a well known brand.

Infinix has very good phones, but what entertains me the most is, when people talk about it and praise it "too much" as if Infinix are the "only" good phones in this whole planet.

Xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo, Meizu, OPPO (parent of OnePlus) are all very well known top reliable Chinese brands too.

Meizu M2 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Prime are also some great options if you want to extend your budget to ~17500/-. Lookup AliExpress, the easiest way. If I need them, I usually get them from abroad through some acquaintance.

Most phones have notification LEDs, except for budget Samsung phones. @crossfirex

Hows lenovo P70

Its performance will blow your mind. Even in continuous gaming, it doesn't overheat and give great battery timings.

Research a bit on its camera btw. AFAIK, its front camera is good for selfies, but video recording from front camera is only 480P.

Camera lens, which is free of oily fingerprints, captures a lot more details.

Tapatalk compresses photos, otherwise almost all the text was legible and well focused if you zoomed it.

The second photo is the cropped version of first one to show the details captured.

Some Galaxy J5 random camera shots, the last one is from front camera, all others are from rear camera under different lightening conditions. How do you people rate it on camera?
