Why is there so much hype of portrait mode or the Depth Of Field (DOF) mode in Android? I remember it was there in my HTC Amaze 4G back in 2012 or 2013.

It's launched by Apple now that's why.

Even HTC M8 and Honor 6 plus had dual camera for DOF, they were said to be the first ones to use dual cameras. ZTE and quite a few had dual cameras for DOF in 2014 and 2015 too. At that time, everybody laughed at them.

When P9 and Honor 8 had DOF system, Apple fans reaction were like, "we don't care about DOF, its useless" and now iPhone 7 Plus has DOF, so it's game changer feature and worthy feature, but before Apple launched it, it was useless. Lol.

Typical Apple fans system, when they don't have something in Apple products, they don't care about it, when Apple launches the same feature, they suddenly start loving it and call it revolutionary.

It's great for a smartphone, because DOF in phones is actually fake blur, and not like a real DSLR.

In portrait mode or DOF mode, keep the camera at the subject height and frame the photo such that there is less complex background and more simple background.

They get confused at complex and non contrasting backgrounds. With little bit more experiment, it will be very good.

Zooming is good, but if you zoom the photos on S7, there is not a significant difference in quality overall between iPhone zoom and other latest flagships, so telephotos lens actual use is for DOF.

However, 2013 Lumia 1020 still crushes latest flagships in zooming and picking tiny details on zooming long distances. In that, there is no noticeable image degradation at 5-10x zoom even in low lights, but that has 41MP with 2/3 inch sensor and is another league.

In DxOmark tests, Lumia 1020 scored one or two less marks than Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5S camera. Lmao.

41MP pureview tech, OIS, 2/3 inch sensor (still almost twice large than current flagships), pro controls with RAW DNG support, exceptional zooming abilities with software based pixel resampling, xenon flash, camera grip, hardware camera button, cool software photo tricks, and etc etc.

Still top notch quality overall in 2016, except for camera speed which takes 3-5 seconds to save a mighty photo.

There is even minimum amount of noise and maximum details in 1020 camera in low lights due to large sensor. It's photos are almost as least noisy as 2015-2016 flagships.

Not saying that people should buy it, but it's funny how far these reviewers go to give winning to their favorite phones. Lol

Official warranty is peace of mind and original product.

Non warranty could be repacked used phone, refurbished too, if you are not too good at buying used phones. But mostly they are OK.

If there is a faulty batch with manufacturing defect or some major manufacturing defect like board or severe issues, official warranty will cover it free of cost and non warranty set will go into trash bin or local repairing lab on your own expenses. Lol

LG G4 (H811) 507 bootlooped in last month of warranty, sent it to USA for warranty claim and now replacement is back with 610 serial.

Much better resale in official warranty model which also comes with accidental damage coverage. I don't recommend non warranty Samsung at all, especially in edge models.

S7 edge Lcd costs ~20000/- to 30000/- and their LCDs are very fragile. So warranty and accidental coverage helps.

Transomart and Xiaomi are good branded stuff. Zuk Z1's price is 28K i guess, so that price seems good. You can also check out Oppo F1s, I like that phone to be bang of buck in this range.

@s15 @512a I copied my data and formatted the sd card. It had 8.30gb free space prior to format, but after formatting it showed the same and all the data was there too. I put sd card in the card jacket and inserted in my laptop, formatted it, but it said the disk is write protected I then put the sd card in my Zong wingle, formatted it, it got formatted but again it showed 8.30gb free space and all the data was there. Any other solution?

Did you every try to encrypt it? If no , then I think it's read write cycles are competed . You'll have to buy a new one . By the way which brand's sd card is it?
