U can get mate 10 lite in 27k easy pin pack. Its a good phone for its money. As for xiaomi, nvr liked its camera but its phones are robust

Guys need an opinion, want to buy new set for my brother. 8 have huawei P10 lite in my mind bcz budget is around 25k, what other options will you suggest me in the above mentioned price range.

He is a camera freak, so it should be good & other than this normal social media usage.

Mate 10 lite has a very good camera. Its slightly above ur budget but its really good. Check its reviews on Youtube and compare it with similar phones

Bro I already asked him for mate 10 lite but according to him, its size is bigger & he dont want that due to this reason.

Just checked Huawei China website for prices of various mobiles and 4G routers. And I m amazed to see that in China prices are almost same as in Pakistan. On the other hand if u see Xiaomi prices they r much less in China compared to Pakistan

Yes only xiaomi has price difference in pak
But in india redmi note 4 is for 16k and in china also about this price but in pak its for 21k and amazingly in saudia its for 15k

@s15 sir mate 10 lite is amazing what are your reveiws about it xiaomi a1 i think cant compete to it according to pak tag of 29k for both sets but internationally a1 is for 20k so according to that price again MI A1 is winner
But in pak i would suggest mate 10 is better than MI A1

Xiaomi redmi note for sale... 4gb Ram, 64gb internal memory version. Phone is scratchless and in 7 months warranty. Upgraded to Note 8 otherwise its a wonderful phone.

I'm afraid one can't call any smartphone running MIUI "wonderful", period!

The only Xiaomi Smartphone worth buying is The Mi A1.

Younger brother bought the budget Redmi 4A just days ago on Daraz.pk for a little over 11,000 Rupees (Big Friday discount).

The build quality is so so. Phone feels really cheap and the cameras are mediocre at best. The display quality isn't something to write home about, but is quite decent for the price. The performance is surprisingly decent, considering the humble hardware but lags on Facebook and just surfing on Chrome (Keep in mind that I'm a seasoned Nexus 5X user and am currently on the blazing fast Oreo!). The only plus point I can think of is its battery life which, according to him, easily lasts him 2 days of moderate usage.

AND HERE IS MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT:

No push notifications!

No matter what you do, the phone doesn't receive any push notifications, period! Let it be Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or whatever! My little sibling is pretty mad about it as he's crazy about Facebook, Instagram and Messenger! You've to lock apps in the background to receive push notifications; otherwise nothing!

The main point of purchasing a smartphone is notifications. And if that functionality is broken then the whole smartphone is broken in my perspective!

He's thinking about getting rid of it on OLX. Poor kid!

I wonder if our "go to guy" @S15 has any solution for the problem?

I found it to be a wonderful device. I have been using flagship phones since a while now and this phone was my first mid ranger budget phone . I have no complaints whatsoever. Battery is amazing with a quick , simple and zippy interface whereas display is good with no oversaturation and colours which were very natural. Camera only disapoints a little at night shots otherwise it is perfectly fine.
I dont use the FB app , all i do is open it my Chrome browser and never did it once lag in the 4 months i used the device. And yes the build quality is very decent, always felt like a premium phone. All in all it is an excellent phone.

Guys I hope everyone is doing well.
And thumbs up for @s15 for keeping this thread alive and providing useful knowledge.

So guys time for a smartphone upgrade. Currently using iPhone 7 Plus. A great phone overall. The reason for upgrade is that I need a dual sim phone so iPhone bye bye.

The phones I have shortlisted:
Note 8
S8+
OnePlus 5T
Pixel 2 XL

Which of these is the best overall? Personally I am inclined towards Note 8 due to its massive features. Rest I need your opinions.

I have both Note 8 and S8+ at the moment and I'll review just these two according to my personal experience.... My useage is, I don't game at all though my GPS and mobile data is always On ...

S8+
1) Beautifully crafted design.
2) feels comfortable and gripy.
3) Screen on Battery timing is good but it drops 5%
Battery overnight on SCREEN OFF
4) Great camera in both low and day light.
5) prefer it over note 8 if you're a ONE HAND user

Note 8
1) Great design
2) slightly heavier but comfortable to use but has a greater risk of dropping especially when you attempt to pull down status bar ( harder to reach from diagonal to diagonal )
3) battery screen On time is less, consumes 2/3% Battery overnight idle but overall having less 300mah than s8+. Gives better standby
4) camera wise 19/20 difference... The only worthy difference comes when you use the dual lens portrait.... It is quality and gives edge over s8+
5) not comfortable for one hand usage especially if you're a texter / Snapchatter

Conclusion : if you choose note 8 over S8+ you'll be getting S pen features, DSLR like portraits, 6GB ram, better battery life, larger screen

If you think the features above are worth spending extra rupees according to your needs then go for Note 8.
