Actually, Apple is STILL selling The iPhone 7 (32GB) at $450 in States.

Still expensive but... You've to understand that Apple was selling the tiny little iPhone SE for that much just 2 years ago!

And I'd go as far as to say that it's kind of a bargain, really.

No doubt Samsung/android phones are awesome hardware wise, I at least buy one flag ship android phone every year for the love of the technology, if you want real power in your hand android is for you.

But unfortunately apple IOS is far more reliable specially if you use phone for your work purposes as well, it’s crucial for me to get my email notification on time, but on android I often don’t get them or get them very late. I just bought note 9 few days back awesome phone, but the same issue notification were getting delayed, so I was forced to move back to my X.

Until android give the same software quality and reliability that IOS is providing, business user will always prefer iPhone.

Android flagship phones provide best hardware but software is still far behind when it comes to reliability.

That was probably one of the most bad arguments anyone has ever given to me. Almost every iphone user i have ever talked to who is not braindead (very rare i know but somehow i found some) has said that they would have prefered a fp scanner on the back of iphone X atleast till the model where face id was better than touch id. You're basically saying that its a good step that apple has removed the headphone jack and now the dongle to force people to buy their overpriced underaverage airpods. Im not going to reply to any of your messages from now on cause i realize you're a lost cause. Nobody is Saying anything about people going away from apple just because they took away things. Andriod users and fans only dislike apple because they exploit their customers and are employing the most unethical policies of our times.

Their flagship MacBooks of $2799 do not have touchscreens, so their midrange phone will be like old Nokia 3310 for $299 with 50$ additional dongle for sim functionality.

iFans are too blind to know that Apple became trillion dollar company with their iFans blind support and now Apple could not care less about them and is throwing 85% same junk over and over again at iFans.

Apple should atleast have some gratitude towards their iFans, for making them a trillion dollar company and should offer something truly valuable, rather than throwing same junk over and over. No fast charger in latest iPhones and now they even took away 9$ dongle. Lol!

We are also laughing out loud, at what Apple is doing (exploiting miserably) to their iDie-hard iFans, after they made them trillion dollar company!.

Btw, some people take such Apple vs Android very seriously and personally. There is no need for them to cry/fight over brands. It's just a brand after all and does not really matter if one likes or dislikes.

We are all entitled to give opinions.

Bro it takes a bit of a work to find properly cracked software, like avoiding those 2MB executables that download malware along the original software, saying no to any add ons etc.

I'd happily buy the software if it was truly proprietary instead of requiring iTunes and bonjour to actually communicate with the phone and was totally ad free in purchased version.

Indeed. iOS is far more consistent. Samsungs tend to slow down and crash (software glitches) more often in long run in than other brands.

Which email app and email account did you use btw? Was it on push?

Btw, that delayed email notifications is matter of email settings (push, fetch every 30 minutes, every 1 hour etc), do not disturb mode, power saving modes, disabled background running of email app or sync disabled.

If either of these is set incorrectly, it will have delayed email sync. Posting it here, as email is very critical for most of us, so someone else might benefit from it.

Best app for emails?

Interesting thing about email push/instant notifications.

Gmail app - hotmail cannot be set to push. Minimum it can be set to sync every 15 minutes.

Mi Mail app - gmail cannot be set to push. Minimum it can be set to sync every 10 minutes.

Outlook - both gmail and Hotmail is set on push.

In important and urgent emails, even 10-15 minutes sync delay is very unacceptable.

So its best to use official app by specific email service provider, so that it can be set to push/instant notifications.

I am using Gmail email app on android, we have our own corporate email on exchange server.

It is set to push, unfortunately the things you mentioned I have tried them all already, no battery optimization, background data off etc.

It is actually a very known issue and existed in note 8 as well, I returned my note 8 on 3rd day because of this. If you search on internet you will see a lot of threads talking about this issue, I don't know why Samsung or Google is not addressing such a crucial issue.

I mean a 130K phone is not able to pull emails properly specially note series which they advertise more as a business phone is very unfortunate.

On the other hand on iPhone I don't have to worry about this at all, it notifies me about emails instantly, I don't like iPhone X form factor, the notch, it's restriction for customizations, but iPhone is so reliable for my work compared to Android that I have to stick with it, even my work related VOIP calls on hangouts are better on iPhone, slack notifications which is another app that I use for work are also more reliable on iPhone.

You can hate iPhone all you want you can critise there pricing policy but unfortunately there is no other better option than Apple in the market right now for business users and believe me people in Apple knows that.

Guys i need help, one of my family members have a samsung j5 2016 model. Mobile data is off and i have specifically checked each app and disabled the use background data but still randomly i get sms from Telenor that i am using internet on standard rate. Internet package is not subscribed which is why i get this sms but the phone is connected to wifi all the time. I updated to latest android version and security patch and still problem is there.

I can't seem to find what is causing the phone to use mobile data even when wifi is connected and mobile data is disabled from every where
