Alternatively; you can download directly from The Play Store but the problem is; Sygic has recently downgraded The Pakistani Map so the latest version of app will have the newer version which has way less roads and POIs than the previous version.

In the new version; only main roads and highways are visible. There are very few streets; especially in case of rural areas.

Keep it on driving/navigation mode during journey and it will not go offline. Lack of compass will not show direction at first, but when you start moving, it will start assessing directions.

Also keep traffic mode here, so it's forced to stay connected to show real time traffic.

One big drawback of Google Maps is, that if you take wrong turn or miss instructions, it re-routes to your destination using that wrong route. Instead, it should announce that that you took wrong route before re-routing. So it's best to keep it open in front of dashboard.

I usually keep it open during journeys on non familiar roads and it helps a lot, not just for navigation, but for safety as well. Letting one car go ahead of you also helps in absence of navigation.

@s15 @k-four-nine brothers right now Google Maps online is not working on data connection. I have restricted rest of the apps BuT the following apps are Not restricted ;
Google Maps,
Google play services,
Google services framework.
Still maps online is not working.
Rest Internet services are Active.
Now what should I do? Kindly help. WAITING

No idea, same used to happen to me, but after app refresh (clearing data), it never occurred later on.

Maybe search for another country on Maps, like London, England. It will enforce maps to get online and load the maps and info. And then navigate your destination.

Btw, you do not need to restrict other apps from using mobile data for maps, especially system apps.

Technically, you should not restrict any system app from using mobile data. One way or the other, it will break functionality somewhere.

User installed apps can be restricted as per needed, like i enabled very few (most important) user apps on mobile data, to prevent unwanted distractions (notifications) when i am outside or busy.

@s15 dear TodaY I really messed up with Apps and again and again I ON them buT map was not working. Finally I clickeD All the System Apps ON but still map was Not working on data connection. I needed badly today maps to be functional working but faced disappointment. Right now I am connected to Wifi and Map is Working .
I am using 4G sim of Warid in slot 2.
Google play store was Not working on data connection too eveN it was clicked ON in system Apps. What you say on it bro?

, you should not restrict any system app from using mobile data.

The reason I restricted beFore today because I have a limited data volume and I only Use Maps on it in Case of Need. But later on I ON them but map was not working @s15

Seems like your phone needs a hard reset. Something is messed up in your system cache.

If you're in a hurry then try Waze.

It's basically Google Maps; albeit a lot simpler, cleaner, extremely lightweight and has a social media aspect to it with live traffic map.

You can use it without installing the app:

Alternatively; you can also open Google Maps on Chrome or any HTML 5 browser for that matter.
