I have had my iPhone X for 1.5 yrs now. I do almost all the things you don’t do, and still have 86% battery health. I think the precautions make max 2-3 % difference in the ‘reported’ battery health over such a long period. In real life terms, my battery has gone down the day I installed the iOS 13 beta. Still on the latest public beta and it usually gives me a days worth with 2-3 hours SOT and around 20% left in the evening. Only some days it extends to 3-4 hours SOT or more than 40% at the end of the day with less screen time.

I think today iOS 13 will release for the public as well as iPhone 11. Maybe later tonight. One thing I want to confirm; will it useable for iPhone 6S? I have heard iOS 13 will no longer support iPhone 6 and below.

iPhone 6s is newer model than iPhone 6.

Today, Apple will release iPhone 11 and iOS 13 will be available for public from next Tuesday.

Though, Percentage of battery health is not accurate. Still it depends on your usage. If you keep your charging 40-80% it will give you longer battery life. That’s how I charge my phone.

I was talking about that ad, where the poster claimed that his brother used phone only for 2-3 months.

Right. My cousin recommended me to charge the phone whenever it comes near to dying. He was wrong, luckily I searched on the YouTube and the guy in the video suggested to charge the phone whenever you are not using it, don't let it drain all the way then charge.

I bought my iPhone 6S 64GB (used) at 79% battery health, it's still there after nearly 1 year of use, however, I have to get the battery replaced. I've been also thinking of upgrading to iPhone 7S plus for the dual-camera setup & better battery life.

Yes I know about the 40-80 rule and always follow it.

Specially after ruining my iPhone 4S battery which I used to plug in for whole night 🤭

So the story of colleague visiting PTA office is as sad as it was expected
They charged him Rs 11000/- and that too on a passport for registering a poor Huawei Y6 2019 32gb which barely cost 21000

As per ur uploaded DIRBS FAQs document he should have been charged Rs 4510/-
But he had to pay 11000 and that too on system generated slip

Banda phir sakoon se ghar hi baithe and wait for the government to change seriously these are insane taxes even one can get a second hand 10/10 condition phone in 15-16k. If this is the tax paid on a phone with passport, i wonder how much will they charge if u r going without one.

I am of the same view because now this government will not lift this tax else they will have to face too much opposition from those who already paid these taxes

What about new phones available pin pack from shops like vivo huawei nokia etc. Are they PTA approved or will it be required to get them registered?

So what if we bring a new phone from abroad and use it here without sim? Will we still have to register it? Can we use it on wifi only? Live can we attach a 4g device just for the phone to use wifi ? The prices of iphone XS used are insane we can add few bucks and bring iphone 11 pro from abroad..

Yes u can easily use it on wifi without PTA registration

No sir, you can use it without any issue. For using wifi, you don’t need PTA approval?

All those PTA non approved mobiles are being used as tablets and for WhatsApp by customers who cannot pay tax amount

They have removed iphone Xs category and iPhone 7 from their selling list and Xr and iPhone 8 is still there!!!?
What type of strategy is this ? Same happened with iPhone X when Xs was launched but this time it doesn't makes any sense
I think apple understood by people reaction to iPhone 11 that liking of Xs category will increase Because of its better shape and iPhone 11 will not be able to make its market
