i am also iOS user for loooong time ,was using 3GS and now looking to get iPhone 4 .never owned any android device but have used it and found it is not for me atleast for now but not bad either actually its the matter of preference both have their + & - . and in your range best devices are
Nexus S
Galaxy S
Incredible S
Desire HD

incredible S is newest device among all but i have read on internet that its boot-loader is locked so no custom roms while Nexus S lacks Memory card slot, galaxy S lacks flash and desire HD lacks front camera... and its good to know that iPhone 4 prices has dropped as low as 45000 ,month back i was getting locked iPhone 4 32gb for 48k.....

well desire Z has a hinge issue its slide gets bad after some time and secondly u will get irritated by pulling out keyboard now and then and its also makes the phone thicker

secondly if u dont want to get another desire in home try desire HD and if that doesnt suit you try out Nexus One the twin brother of Desire but through custom ROM u can ad the sense UI in if
i guy here is selling Brand new nexus one and desire in 29k each

5) Htc desire hd has got some serious issues of battery backup you can find it in any review on this planet of web

4) htc hd2 is having 1250 mah battery but in multimedia u have to install the video player or something but you can have multiple OS with ya

3) Galaxy Sl i9003 has got SLCD and 1650mah battery it support almost all video formats and audio

2) Nexus S has got SLCD version and Super Amoled as well and 1500mah battery it also supports all video formats and audrio

1) Galaxy S i9000 is the only cellphone which is on top ten rankings for battery backup actually

Take htc out .... decide between nexus S and galaxy ..price difference would be between 8to10k ...

yes bro i love it but as change of the taste actually i have used andriod for once i bought x10 actually i am IOS user bought iphone 3g then 3gs n then 4 i am getting andriod for just change nothing else i used windows 7 phone HD7 but it has got so many repeatations and it is begineer OS till now bore kar dia windows 7 ne ik din me

people who have used both phones say both have same battery back up that is one day hardly

Desire (Original) is better.That is why i did'nt included DHD in my list previously.

Take Samsung out because build quality is much cheaper than a plastic toy.Once it slips from your hand it'll drain your money into dust.I think Nexus One is good cuz its enjoying the Latest Android 2.3.4 .Build Quality wise nothing compares to HTC and for your calls it has a secondary microphone which cancels the background noise thus makes the voice much much clearer.You wont regret it.

i have tiny knowledge of andriod actually but specification wise get desire hd and because the new sense UI is supported to desire hd and it is also for desire but htc has announced earlier that i will exclude some options .. as i have seen many articles and news desire hd is having signed bootloader but some how devs try to unlock .. if you really dont need custom firmwares desire hd gurantees further updates and as far as resale is thr u r getting hd in good price its new for 45k getting in 34k is good desire is 34somethingk

see in hyderabad market htc desire is available new up for sale with set charger tmobile for 27k and with all acc n box 28 to 29 means us banday ne shopkeeper ne 25k ka lia hai tu bech rha hoga na itne profit me ... desire hd is available like new in 37 to 39k and used in 34 to 35k so you are gettng for 34k is good

desire uses the old snapdrsgon chip which means it wont play new 3d games and hard graphic apps properly.
25+ for sonyericsson x10 or desire which cannot run modern games is a totally useless investment.
a phone which is running android yet u cannot enjoy android to the full to aisa phone kiss kaam ka?

all android phones have multitasking but dont have a app manager.... therefore first u have to download app killer so tht u can maually delete all the apps u have opened previously thus saving battery and ram.

on ios (iphone) u have to double click the home button then hold all the apps u have opened to delete it.

in my option, in the next 1-2 months android skype with video call will b out.... therefore get a phone with front camera..... like galaxy or incredible s...
galaxy doesnt have a flash but incredible has 2 leds.... so i think better get incredible s.......
on games and apps, both the hummingbird and new gen snapdrsgon have similar performance... i have already checked it.

Hmmm so it means Incredible S or Desire S are best for me.
