Need suggestions to buy an adequate phone in price of 30 to 35 k. For a college student. Gaming is not a priority. Day to day whatsapp and YouTube usage is required.

Vivo S1 has good reviews. New is for 39k these days

4GB variant is of 36 k.
Redmi note 9 has better internals.

I just came back from hafeez centre as I'm looking for a phone in the same price range for my brother.

Vivo s1 was for 34k and redmi note 9 was 33k. Note 9s (6gb ram) was 39.5k

9s is available on daraz for 38k. but review says it has issues with screen and camera. Camera bugs can be fixed but screen? i am reluctant

I am compelled by the Redmi note 9 Internal specifications as compared to Vivo S1. I do not need a super Amoled screen, but due to note 9s screen issues, I am a Little skeptical to opt for this product. However the screen sizes are different for note 9 and note 9s on spec sheets, which might mean the screens are different.

Note 10 plus will be too expensive even after price drop, go for S10 lite, has SD 855, and costs about 100k, Note 9 will be too old and 2nd hand will have screen issues most probably. If you want to go for a chinese product, Oneplus 7 pro will be good or a Mi 9T pro which has SD 855, Amoled screen, under display fingerprint and comes at 61,000 which is excellent value for money. Or even a S10+

Wait for note 20, after its launch note 10 will get price drop, then go for note 10

S10 lite doesn't feel premium considering its price bracket, it has back plastic, old storage tech, 1080 display with low PPI, its useless to have that device in this price ...
I too love to see oneplus here officially introduced, its OS fluidity is flawless, time to time latest updates, very well balanced device in this price ...
About xiaomi, well i will not spend that much money on a chinese product which is not entered in market specially this flagship category ...

Well, S10 Lite has its flaws but you know its samsung so they will ofcourse charge a bit more premium just for that brand value and semi-resale value. Oneplus is making good phones, i think someone in this thread mentioned the offical retailer of Oneplus products, though it has average cameras for the price tag. Regarding Xiaomi products, i guess it's just for me as i recently bought one and really impressed for what it offers in the price, though compromising on resale ofcourse. You could also consider S10+, i mean its still pretty good since S20 is now way off the price.
