Yes u can unlock in android for yourself but it depends on mobile support availability in andriod community ... i hv recently unlocked my friend's vibrant ... google for ur specific mobile ...

Hi All, i need help. Can anyone tell me what a "Factory Unlocked" phone means. I am talking in context of android phones.
Also what does this means that a phone is Factory Unlocked and has a carrier logo as well.

I looked for it but there is no support of this mobile yet on xda developers .... what this means is either u hv to wait for unknown period or get it unlocked by mobile shop if they can ....

Factory unlocked simply means simfree fone without carrier logo out of the box while fone with carrier logo is always a locked mobile which needs to be unlocked via codes or mobile shops to use on other networks and there is no as such factory unlocked fone with carrier logo ...

Yeah that second part was confusing me, as i went to homeshopping and they said they have a factory unlocked phone but logo is there.

Wait I asked a few shops and most of them said it cant be unlocked but one said i can unlock it but it'll cost rs3000 :o

Just updated my HTC Desire to Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 and its running much better now. The best features I like are smooth overall performance,removed carrier bloatware and fastboot which turns on the device in less than 3 seconds.
