actually it is not about budget.my brother is in dubai these days and asked me that is x8 fine with me or shall i get any other phone.As it would be a gift so i dont want him to increase budget for my own likeness as he would be paying and i already have a great phone.will be using it as secondary phone.

If the phone isnt worth buying then i would refuse him to buy.need suggestions only

Its a nice and decent phone. For a secondary phone i would say go for it.

As far as i know it can be updated to 2.1 officially and to 2.3.3 unofficially. Camera result is below average and doesn't have autofocus. Touch response is pretty good as its a capacitive screen but i heard that it doesn't support multitouch out of the box. You can make it unique as you are free to change the back covers
