I have recently checked out the latest android cellphone (capable to run Gingerbread) in the cheapest price category, as I'm looking for a new mobile for myself. Still confused though which one to buy.
My observations on the cellphone I checked are:
Galaxy Y: The cheapest android, 833 MHZ fast processor, poor display (240*320) and camera, latest android. 3 inch screen. Adobe flash isn't there so no youtube.
Galaxy Mini: Better than Galaxy Y in terms of camera (3.2 MP vs. 2MP of galaxy Y), slightly bigger screen (3.14 inch and width is also one of the biggest with 61 mm - helps a lot in messaging) poor display (240*320 only), just like Galaxy Y, however. No adobe flash support. Price just 1-2K more than Galaxy Y, so a better buy in my opinion although processor speed is low at 600 MHZ.
Galaxy GIO: around 2-3K expensive than Galaxy Mini but worth it. Shape like a mini Iphone. 800 MHZ. Better 320*480 resolution. 3.2 MP camera. Better battery (1350 maH as compared to 1200 MaH in both Y and mini)
HTC Wildfire S: 600 MHZ processor, but good camera with 5 MP. Screen Resolution also better at 320*480. The best thing in Wildfire S is the shape. Beautiful phone. Supports Adobe flast. However relatively expensive than Samsung. Price around 3k higher than Galaxy GIO.
HTC Explorer: Almost same specs like Wildfire S but a lot cheaper (around 3-5K than Wildfire S), although a bit expensive than Galaxy mini. However the shape is the biggest disadvantage as the back cover is rubber, which gives a cheap look.
Sony Ericsson Xperio Mini: The best specs among all in a lot cheaper price. Currently the hottest set, but it is not available everywhere in Pakistan as yet. 3 inch screen. 1 GHZ fast processor. 5 MP camera. 320*480 resolution. Adobe flash support. And the best thing in it is that it is v cheap for its function (price a bit lower than Samsung Gio). However, as per user reviews have complained about the small internal memory making the phone to crash and restart sometimes and the short battery life due to high speed processor within the 1200 MAH battery. Pls. note this is about Xperia mini, not Xperia X10 mini or Xperia X1 mini).
