Ok vg, thanks a lot bro.

Another thing i've noticed. Since i'm new to Android it has been concerning me.

My S3 uses a lot of RAM, even when i hardly have anything on my phone, i just have whatsapp, skype, FB and Instagram. Still whenever i go to the Task Manager, it is showing 650-700MB of RAM in use, i clear the processes and close the running ones, have also disabled the ones which i dont know from Application Manager such as YouTube, S Planner, S Memo and quite a few others, still the RAM usage is crazy with respect to the tasks performed or applications downloaded/running.

The phone is not giving me any issues, any hang-ups or lags.

Should i be worried about the excessive RAM usage?

Nothing to worry about yawar bhai. It is normal with these phones. You have to keep closing the apps from app manager to keep ram usage low. And 650-700 is normal or I will say below normal...

You dont need to worry that much. Check if sync is ON or you can use power saver mode. This is my (laymans) suggestions. Seniors here can guide better

Another way around, in the developers option there is an option to control the background running processes, from normal i've changed the setting to only 1 process. i hope that doesnt mess anything up

I don't exactly remember what you have to look for in a refurbished phone. Can you please tell me a model you are looking for i might tell you better.

Got rid of the anti-virus and things are back in the 500-650tops region.

its might be possible they have some old phones in stock, its hard to find in a unibody phone as you can't see the complete bakc of the phone.

1. Avast will be not useful without root because it can be uninstalled later by thieve or shopkeeper. I read somewhere rooting is must because then anti theft software hides inside da phone and can't be uninstalled by them.

2. Where ever you are installing anti virus in pc, notebook or cell. Please always install 1 anti virus. Do not use 2 or more anti virus together they will always clash with each other.
