Hi guys i have a sony xperia Z, well its kind of stupid but on my nieces' request i placed my phone in water to prove its water proofability (only half for about 10 secs) and it died after 2 x minutes. The damn thing is sealed so i failed to remove the bty and now its dead for good. currently i am in khi have shown it to a couple of guys and they say that the mother board has been damaged

Whats the major difference between FU and Gevey iphones?

Gevey is a chip which we have to insert with our sim in the phone sim slot to unlock the locked iPhone temporarily. Gevey is 99% factory unlock. Gevey phones are much cheaper as compare to FU.

Gevey is used in iPhones which are locked to networks.

FU phones are unlocked they do not require gevey sims in order to work however they cost an arm and leg.

A MAJOR price difference in FU and Gevey phones.

I went to Singapore Plaza the other day and there was a
Black 16GB iPhone 5 (Gevey, locked to Bell Canada), phone was 10/10 condition for 41k.

Same shopkeeper had another iPhone 5 (white, FU) also was 10/10 condition for 51k.

So in some cases there is a 9-10k price difference.

water resistant..... well then even if the water gets inside it should still work, so if it doesntwork after being submergred in water it means it isnt water resistant even...

If m not wrong xperia z is water resistant till 3 feet of depth or 30mins so again if they hav said that its water resistant till 3 feet depth than a pitcher of water wont b an issue for it

No the ports were closed alright, checked them myself but even then the white sensors had turned pink and interestingly i had placed only one side in water where there is sim card port only, the sensors of other side have also gone pink, its a real bad phone, now that i have experienced the problem many ppl around the world have suffered this problem, even in some cases the back cover is not glued properl

Its due to faulty ports, either that was damaged or not closed properly due to any obstruction in the lid

Xperia Z is a water resistant same as other phones and IP57 certified.

S5 leaked just few hours earlier and i would say that water resistant made that device even ****** more on looks. Bad move by Samsung to make it water Resistant.

Then what is the meaning of water resistant till 1m of water??,Its a common problem that has come to lime light with xperia Z, The port covers and the glued back cover are the major culprits in water ingress

Yes I know the Xperia z have this problem. If I am not mistaken Sony didn't sunk the phone in water in commercials. They showed the phone can survive in rain, splashes e.g

Dude 60k ka used 5s milta ha. There is no benefit of buyin gpacked iphone5 because there is no warrenty.
