Slow opening of sms app is a very strange issue and it seems to be issue in LG 4.1.2 . I also have same in G . I've installed chomp sms and it is responsive .

My mobile is at 40% brightness indoor and when i take it out in bright sun, it immediately bumps up the brightness to 80-90% resulting in great outdoor visibility. Thanks to Lux app.

I installed paid version of Lux dash but that was just a confusion .

Auto brightness have some issues with LG software, I read about it on xda or in review.

And if I am not wrong LG is rolling out kitkat update. Some carriers are getting it or got it.

Even if LG don't update it Cyanogen is there. The only thing this phone is missing is the MIUI rom which other flagships are enjoying.

G does have MIUI . Actually issue is not in auto brightness it's somehow different from other manufacturers and even i read somewhere LG auto brightness is the correct way an auto brightness system should work since sensor works differently from eyes . If you set brightness at 30% and switch on auto mode , it'll play around 20-40% depending upon ambient light but in non LG devices auto mode will bright upto 100% in direct sunlight ( unnecessary drainage of battery) .

Talking about G2

Ya every phone work in different way. I don't use auto bright mode so it is not an issue for me.

I have only seen one MIUI rom for G2 and that one is under development though it is 80% complete. Developer of rom is stuck with some big issue so he is unable to make any further progress.

I wish MIUI provide official rom for G2

That icon was there in my Korean S3 as well. Only in Korean phones, nobody knows what it is.

Bought Huawei G700 last week. Impressive phone and whats more impressive is the battery timing. I used it for straight 14 Hours (Wifi, Browsing, Updating, Games) and screen usage at 70% still I had 40% battery left when i went to sleep.

The Screen is very nice bright HD screen and the processing is swift you will not feel any lag in the normal applications or in any Games.

Only thing not that good about this set is the Camera. its 8 MP and also records hd video but still not that good and needs improvement.

Dual SIM and in 24k its very nice.
