S5 and even S4 refurbished models are not available anywhere. Slightly use phone ko repack karna and refurbished phones both are totally different things.

We can say either it was his luck he got faulty piece or may be may be phone was repacked.

You're right too but I personally know a shop in Clifton, it's a huge shop and maybe most famous, the owner is my dad's friend so he gives us some good rates
Anyways, they buy used phones, if they are in excellent condition, they just repack the accessories and phone and the box with plastic and then claim it's new. If condition is a bit rough, they change it's casing, yes they change its casing and then repack it and sell it claiming new. This is the reason why their prices are really low and whenever I go, at least 8-10 people are in that shop to buy phone!
Any ways, a friendly advice to everyone, never buy phone without warranty, you never know if it's repacked or what, it's always better to spend 5k more and at least you'll know that the product is new and if any problem occurs, you can claim your warranty!

If you're an android user then you won't like switching to windows phone, better get nexus 5 as it has a smaller screen than note 3.
It's useless to get iPhone 5 as iPhone 6 launch is around the corner, better get iPhone 5s!

My One X had loose wifi antennas and i had to open it up and fix them.
One had camera purple tint issue.
Even M8 is having some complaints of lens cover cloudiness over time and sometimes even cracked lens cover for no reason. :o

When I went to buy htc ONE x, I thoroughly googled its reviews and pros and cons.... yes there were some models having loose wifi antennas issue but their latest manufactured batch was problem free, I was aware of the issue and bought the problem free model by verifying its first two digits of serial number... that was indeed a great phone....!

HTC one m7? Well, yes. I was mad after its design and display. Upon reading reviews, I was aware of its camera tint issue but HTC played games with its customers, they used to tell everyone it's software issue and will be fixed in upcoming updates but NO. It was hardware issue, and HTC knew it!

I bought m7 knowing that it'll be fixed in software updates but it didn't so I had to let it go. But I still miss it. It was a great phone with simple and decent design according to my taste and great speaker quality...

M8? As far as I know it's better than S5 and is superb. Just heard about its lens issues from you so I guess, their UltraPixel technology is actually Bull$HiT.....

No idea about its price
