If they succeed with Alsvin, it can open up a lot of opportunities for newer models from Changan. To me, it seems that Changan itself is serious about this since this is their first right-hand drive plant and satellite imagery shows it's quite a good-sized facility, they've also put some money in it themselves instead of solely relying on the local partner. I hope we are not disappointed.

I am seeing a lot of Changan SUVs and cars now in Saudi Arabia, they are giving 5 years or 150,000 km warranty here .. good cars !

Chinese brands have to sell a few lacs lower than Japanese rivals if they want to succeed. Faw v2 is also a good car but they missed the opportunity of auto transmission. If they had introduced an auto variant with 1000cc engine, it would have been a much better package.

Picanto cannot beat Cultus sale only because of the 1.0L quota for Suzuki Government sales. What i mean to say is people are shifting.

The stigma associated to Suzuki being cheap, spare parts, resale is finished because of a entire brand new lineup.

Yes Suzuki still has edge of after sales and 3S dealerships lineup.

Its not about AT, FAW China it self isnt interested to sell and market these cars in Pakistan. FAW V2 is a very good car for it's price but mismanaged.

ALHAJ being associated to FAW and now Proton will need to do alot to gain public trust. Else Proton X70 or Saga have nothing more to offer then what people are already getting.

Basically nowadays having suzuki car don't mean that maintenance will be cheaper and spare parts are too expensive so agreed that people are now switching to better options as that cheap parts edge of suzuki gone

jee, bilkul sahi... in fact, some parts of Honda City are cheaper than Suzuki Swift : ) ...
it's only the fact now that their spare parts are available in abundance and that's it, but so are Toyota and Honda !
Kia or any other entrant for that matter has to focus on their after sales service to make it a winning situation for them.
Changan is producing very good looking reliable cars (as seen in Saudi Market), but they have to pass the test of time in Pakistan and provide their after sales services to succeed .
