I live in pindi so lucky me i guess ... i can just feel this car is gonna be a gamechanger in so many ways... check Alibaba, their parts are avail for half the price of cultus etc as one brother has mentioned earlier in the forum and much less than city etc... reliability wise i can confirm they have been spotted in UAE

They have to price it right though, top end model 2.4m all inclusive including tax etc then one might consider, and low end 2.1m all inclusive. swift and cultus will fly out of the market and ciaz which is on its way already is gonna get an even bigger booster... im happy it will break the monopoly of big 3 but sad as well for guys who recently bought swift, picanto, cultus or specially ciaz. In short this car has potential to end the not so glorious era of suzuki

On paper and in pictures Alsvin looks impressive. People can't be faulted for being optimistic about it.

Not a fair comparison imo. Alsvin is a completely original product unlike those two which were mehrans under a new skin.

One point of concern is the DCT. it might be common in China but how well will it withstand the Pakistani environment?
But some say it's doing well in the middle east, so it shouldn't have much trouble here either.

Wet clutches generally have a nice wide friction zone that makes them pretty easy to use. They also tend to last a long time, and they're quieter than dry clutches. ... Alsvin is an original product. Changan is a very large group.

Alsvin will not be available for sale from 11th December. It will be displayed only like Proton X70 today. Prices and availability will be disclosed after 2-3 weeks and yes it may be December end. Master motors imported 20 cars directly from China for display purposes.

Moving from Alto Alsvin seems to be a reasonable choice compared to decade old city and Yaris both of which are significantly higher in price. Lets hope they dont become suddenly a premium brand as Kia did.

The problem is, that if you compare alsvin to Honda city 1.5 aspire and Yaris Atix X and expect Alsvin to be 2.5 million yes it is about 5 lack cheaper.

But at 2.5 million everyone would want to prefer basic 1.3 Yaris and City over Alsvin.

Going for durability over features., but let's see fingers crossed.

It doesn't really matter if he is an owner of Yaris or City. I also noticed the same thing. Aik dam se 3 nayi ids aati hain praising Alsvin. One id named as 'mir', second named as 'arslan', third named as 'arslanmir'. Names are matching. Unki baatein match kr rhin. And why would someone from a new id jump directly into alsvin thread???
