Glad to learn that my review was worth reading.

Indeed, you're right, purported mileage seems exaggerated. In city driving the max i get is 8-9 KM/L.

Simultaneously I am using Elantra 2.0 NA. And OSHAN seems to be a gas guzzler in comparison with it, since Elantra gives me more than 13 to 15 KM/L on highway driving, while in City it is around 10KM/L.

Maybe this has to do with the turbocharger.

yeah mix of both. leds for 3rd brake light and light bar (which becomes the parking light when switched on) the halogens are for both side brake lamps

It probably has more to do with aerodynamics, SUVs and Crossovers are not shaped in the most efficient way so that certainly effects fuel economy.

Also a big thank you for the review, I really did believe that the fuel economy would be greater from other people's reviews and the insights on the pillars was very insightful. The biggest thing I am personally missing is a lane keep assist, would allow for some supervised self driving on the motorway

hello, can you tell me if whether you can play the videos songs or films while the car is running and how is the video quality and sound quality. ? I have a BR-V and I had to fix sound damping in all 4 doors so that we could hear the music, without which there is too much sound coming in from outside in the BRV . What is the scene of x7 in this regards? In sportage when the car is running the video is turned off so please inform about Oshan

You can switch this option on or off in the HMI.
Sound proofing is much better in Oshan compared to BRV, which is what I switched from.

Great competition.

I don’t think Oshan is worth buying specially the top models in 9 to 9.5 million range. They must bring it down to around 7.5 million future sense variants.

Price reduction is temporary plus the only fair competition is with FWD model which is still 1M more than Oshan FS but misses out on adaptive cruise. Though offers some additional bells and whistles like better infotainment system , wired AA and ACP, wireless charging, lumbar support, auto dimming RVM etc.

I have seen couple of videos tht oshan had heating issues pre face lift models.i want to know wether the issue persists in current oshan as well and other than tht what r known issues in Oshan

Overall a pretty decent car. I do not own it but traveled from Islamabad to Lahore with my uncle on it. Comfort level is pretty decent. Feature wise also loaded. Engine is responsive. The only issue I felt was the lights are somehow sub par. At night, it felt like driving in dark.

Changan has launched replacement for X7 in China. Its now rebranded as CS75 PRO which has updated exterior and interior. seemingly engine options remain the same except a 2.0T is also available. Hopefully Changan Pakistan launches this soon because competition is becoming fierce, and they need to stop recycling the same old interior from original Oshan from 2021 and just changing interior color. The exterior of our facelift is new but they just carried over the old interior which is just bizarre

Where does Changan say X7 is discontinued?

Overall I agree X7 is lacking in a lot of modern features available in other Chinese cars like haval and chery.

Can at least give full adas with blind spot monitor, apple CarPlay, Android auto.

No.
It has a stupid workaround with some laggy/buggy app named car auto global.

i dont think it is same both are different line up's here is GCC they have diff varients of CS from 35,75,95 etc and there is any other line up for UNI series.

If you go to their website Oshan is different from CS75.. yes 2026 model is launched in MEA region

Oshan as a brand was discontinued but the X7 was transferred to the main Changan brand. It's not going to receive any updates though or a new generation.

They have stopped updating X7 in china, and its in its final model year now, CS75 replaces X7.

Oshan brand was discontinued in 2024 so they renamed this to Changan X7.

This year, they've renamed it once again to Changan CS75 Pro for certain export markets to align it with the CS75 lineup. CS75 Plus is the higher end, while CS75 Pro is the lower end.

It is otherwise pretty much the same car and is still being produced.
