Couldn't find any problems reported with its transmission.

Like usman also mentioned, it's a wetDct, and these types usually do not have heat issues. Unlike vezel's dryDCT unit, which couldn't dissipate the heat generated by clutch plates during high stress situations,this shouldn't have those heat up issues.

Please look at the second aspect, the transport sector is updating the buses very frequently.

The earlier buses were operational for years and years, these buses are cheap, generate good revenue and are changed frequently.

I was associated with Oil movement for 4 years and i have seen the condition of these long haul trucks. No one pulls more weight than these rigs in pakistan.

The condition o HINO/ISUZU/UD/VOLVO trucks even after 6 years was not bad as it was for FAW in 3 years.

So when buying chinese it is 100% certain that these are primarily build to last for a cetain time, and will start falling apart in du course. This is no bias on my behalf but the fact that the price you pay for the thing.

The problem is gobally chinese Cars are 40 to 50 % cheaper than Japanese and 30% cheaper than Korean brands. That price point justifies the utility and acceptance that the life will less.

Changan cs35 plus mid option (sunroof/all shashkas minus the LIDAR and Speaker/ leather seats) is for 6250 BH Dinar.

Where as Yaris starts from 6200 BH Dinar that is a barebone car.

X7 pro (full option) is priced at corolla mid tier.

Now put in perspective andyo will realise that the cars are good for the actual worth but unfortunately we are being fleeced with over priced Junk. This will come to haunt when the time comes.

If they are offered at the correct prices the feeling would not have been so hard. But the financial impact will be felt 5 years down the road.

This is my observation based on FAW prime movers, I have seen them in unacceptable condition in 3 years so my point.

The gap in technology and quality is getting order and lesser but the Built quality is not.
Chinese cars are not designed to endure over specification.

Again I will refer to terminal construction. We ordered some 20km pipeline from China 3lpe. It was one of the best brand available with all valid and active Api certification for over 5 years.

The pipes were inspected in China as well as sheet arrival in Pakistan.

For all 20km of pipeline inspection there were less than 2% of the length that was 0.1mm above the minimum allowed thickness. Rather it was. 03 and. 04mm less but rounded off it qualified as pass due to 1 digit decimal calculation.

Same time one stock was ordered from somewhere else, I don't remember the exact make but Korean. The entire length was close to maximum thickness of the approved range.

This is what you want to understand with Chinese. There is a reason that they are cheap and are ever bit the value for their cost.

But if you tell me to buy some bells and whistles for the price of Korean or even Japanese brand then I will not advise any of my friend or family

I bought a Loncin Generator 2.5Kw in 2012 for 28500 including natural gas kit. With wheels and battery trolly and everything.

It got it's valved jammed within a year, 1500 for new valves and valve seals (probably it happened because I didn't get it's valve clearance adjusted)

Since then it is running perfectly, overnight (12-14 hours) outdoors, the sound changes after 7-8 hours but I never turned it off unless it turned off itself from running out of oil.

It developed an oil leak so every 10 days it requires about half liter oil refill in summer, I changed its oil once or twice a season, didn't follow any change by XX hours schedule and yes never got it's valves adjusted either. Probably it ran 30-50 hours a week on average in peak summers.

I had option to go for Honda or Yamaha generator for thrice the price, they are bulletproof built yes but 10 years on such maintenance I don't think this chinese generator has fared any worse and 3 of these would have outlasted one honda or one yamaha generator under same usage by a very long margin.

But again small generators are much simpler than cars, it's a motorcycle engine paired to a generator and AVR.

Just like our industry can make some export worthy products but when there's more technology involved the order goes to china or some other country. Similarly chinese industry also has limits on what they can produce and what they are willing to produce.

I still won't suggest a Chinese Car over Japanese or Korean unless the vehicle is priced same as it is in its home market, china has made significant progress in automobile industry? Yes,

they provide more shashka features?yes but throwing in features is cheaper than developing refinement and quality control.

A 30k Chinese infotainment doesn't compete with a 10 years old used pioneer / kenwood single din unit that can be bought for 3-7k, in sound quality though it has a lot shashkas, yo I'm streaming youtube on a big screen in a moving car with distorted speakers

I'd say in terms of quality chinese are close to where koreans were 2 decades ago.

my 6.5 kva dong feng generator is still working after 10 years. it had a one cleaning session because it was not used for a long time and oil was thick.

It was my sincere advise.....which I found most suit able for me , while understanding financial condition of people ....we save a lot then we buy our car. It is not cheap which is replaceable easily. I think minimum starting price of SUV is now more than 5 Million which is still insane money for middle class person . I just wanted to realise that make decisions with mind not with heart. My whole point was that burden to prove worth of product is honestly with manufacturer by reliable data not by making flashy advertisements. Unfortunately sharing of testing data by OEM is not applicable here in Pakistan where we can judge durability of vehicles under test conditions. Some time I think to write to Honda and Toyota to share this information though I know I will get slap on face ...but would be fun to put them in embarrassing spot. In the end if someone still finds its OK and more preferable is apparent look and gadgets ...it is his choice and I have full respect. It was my duty because I recently went through whole process of comparimg, selecting and purchase of vehicle, I am middle class so was over concious so talked to many owners of availible 7-8 SUV brands. 90 % feedback real users on any brand was identical and similar, and they sincerely and happily responded to my queries. Thanks to Allah, what I bought ...I am fully satisfied though nothing is absolute here in this world.

Just a rumour at this point.

Price will definitely be increased (since I had heard before launch that it was an introductory kind of price for April/May deliveries - and would be adjusted according to response), now since the response to 5 seater is pretty good (delivery times have jumped linearly and now stand around July-September).

But otoh, I think its still overpriced as is at 6 mil. According to all the other offerings in the market it should at max be at 5.7mil for the top trim. But the Awaam (as usual) are going crazy over its design and road presence, and I see the bookings still keep on accumulating.
