i changed the gearbox because it was leaking oil and i did not have time to get it opened and serviced.. so i bought another gearbox as a quick fix.

later i had the whole gearbox opened. all internal seals were changed. and i used imported Devcon gasket maker sealant to seal all mating parts.

since then the gearbox has been lying unused. i cleaned and greased it a while ago.. its just sitting there now.

it had no problem while driving. no sticky gears or worn gears. when i had the gearbox opened all the bearings were still in good condition and the gearbox mechanic advised me against changing them.

i have not filled the gearbox with oil as it can not be done if the axels are not put in them.. you will need new axel seals according to the size of your cars axels inner end.

right now i am not in karachi.

i will be in karachi by the 10th of november.

also the this gearbox was original of a diesel charade 86. there is difference in gearbox of 88 and 86 charade.

does you car have the original engine that came with it or the engine has been swapped?

in case there have been no alterations in your car then this gearbox will fit.
