Once had a chance to meet him,he was surrounded in a circle of more than 8 armed body guards,was using a armoured Land Cruiser A.K.A. V8 later I came to knew the jeep with him was provided by Sind govt,but the debris of the vehicle as per media footage does not resembles to the one I saw a year ago.

He was a police officer but i never seen him in uniform. why?
he was seen in white shalwar qmeez only.
I think that he was the boss of his own. He dont cared about media, officers etc. He usually smoked cigarettes in public places and in his office even infront of his officers.
He was a brave man.

CID officers have no uniform or else they dont mix well with the general population. CID officers also dont have to abide by the strict rules that other security officers have to abide by.

Najam Sethi was giving his analysis on Karachi police and it was quite scary that Karachi is heavily under guarded. There are not enough police officers. At any given moment there are only around 8,000 police officers for a city that has a population of 15 million people. Not only that, the city is facing political instability, talibanization, petty crimes and street crimes.

Why cant we have an educated police force? Punjab started a model police station and they are doing a great job. The only problem is, its very costy and they can't possibly expand it to other cities. The govt should make a seperate budget for Karachi's law and order and it should provide Karachi a physically fit and educated police force.

So far they have established about 50 of these model stations. The number will increase to 800 within 4 years. Its a good initiative man, have some faith.
