The 2011 Chery A3 is priced at 77,800-100,080 yuan, announced Chery at the launching event of the new A3 in Xiamen, Fujian Province Thursday afternoon. The 2011 Chery A3 carries a DVVT engine with dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and VIS Variable Length Intake Manifold (VLIM) system, improving dramatically the engine power of the car. The maximum power of the new A3 1.6-litre-DVVT is 93kW/6, 150rpm; the maximum torque is 160 N•M /3,900rpm and the maximum power per liter 58kW/L, according to Gao Xinhua, president of the institute of design of the company.
The 2011 A3 engine's hundred-kilometer comprehensive oil consumption is only 6.5L, far below the 7.3L fuel-efficient standard set by the Ministry of Information and the Industry Technology (MIIT). And A3 is listed among the first batch of the vehicles enjoying 3000-yuan-subsidy, highly recommended by the government.
The after-sale service of the new A3 is the first to provide a four-year-warranty period or 120,000 kilometers. And it is equipped with a standard ESP system, multi-link independent suspension, sunroof, and a DVVT engine that are rare in domestic same-rank vehicles.
