As if alto is bigger. QQ is the largest car in 800cc catagory and alto is 1000cc carburater engine car.

I installed cng in my chery qq 3 months back, currently i am getting 19-23 km per bar in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.

QQ Owners, yaar i got a problem. i have been using a family member's QQ and the clutch feels a bit weird since i started driving it. over all displacement on the clutch is too small as compared to any other car and when i let go of the clutch it gets to the biting point with a "ghatkaa". can somone tell me if there is something wrong with it or is it supposed to be like that?

also whats the rumour about chery people quitting Pakistan are we still gonna get services here?

Hi Everyone,

About 3 weeks ago i went to Murree via motorway from Lahore and back. On way back i got tank full from Pindi PSO in Saddar and drove my QQ to Lahore via motorway on Petrol and CNG @ a speed of 90km/hr. The CNG Tank finished after 110km and i could'nt believe when i reached Lhr toll plaza that Petrol needel was still near full

I proceeded to another PSO pump on Wahdat Rd and got tank full again and look

My QQ did 285kms in 17.664l=16km/l with AC - not bad for a 3yr old car

Ahsan my suggestion to you is to go for used QQ. Big difference in price of used & new. Spares is not a problem - Perfect Chery guys have most parts and if they dont they can order from China and get it within 2 weeks.
Resale is low as you know.

Hi everyone
im new to this thread, i recently bought a blue color chery 2006 model, so far i am enjoying the ride very much, very nice car, my all family members also like the car, its on petrol and cng is not installed.

Should i install CNG, as most of the ppl suggest me not to install CNG, coz of high CNG prices and also due to non availability.

One more thing can anybody tell me how can i turn on the high beam lights?

i suggest you should keep it on petrol only.
have cng installed only if your daily running is atleast 150-kilometres.

Do not install CNG!
QQ engine runs down v.quickly on CNG - i'm speaking from personal experience. My 2006 was on CNG for 40,000 km & i've had to get it overhaul after just 70k km because of overheat and then engine eating oil/taking long self/giving smoke. Although overhaul cost is not much compared to bigger cars (Costs just 25-30k) but its still substantial cost and takes 5 days to almost a week.

However if you keep it on petrol & change oil regularly after 3k or 2 months (whichever comes first) then it will give you good service. Also always check radiator water level while engine is running, check it once a week and ur car will never overheat! one more thing - dont ever get engine serviced - avoid letting water near engine as its EFI and any water in electronics will quickly fry them.

I've had CNG removed - running purely on Petrol & my QQ is giving 12-13km/l in Lahore driving nowadays and on motorway easily gives 20 and even 22km/l if you drive at 90km/hr.

QQ is a Good car if you keep good care of it and not drive it on CNG.

QQ Parts are now available from several ppl - Perfect Chery & a shop in Montgomery rd - in Lahore,
Pak Chery and www.transtek-pk.com in Karachi.

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know a good QQ AC mechanic in Lahore? I think i need to get mine checked - maybe gas leaked or needs cleaning. Waisay it's AC has lasted me 3.5 yrs on original gas with no work required! V. good car - currently doing 13km/l of Petrol in Lahore.

Hi, im rasika from Sri Lanka , i brought a chery QQ last mounth.. only 30,000km genuine milage and triptronic.good condition but i have same problem in steering.. it is wagging in hard terrain and shocks making noice...
i did a full mechanical service last week by the agents and they say no problem in the vehicle and above mentioned things are normal for this car.. is it true? or something wrong... if something could happen in this low milage..

I've spent approximately Rs.80k on my 2006 QQs maintenance since i bought it.
According to mechanic reason for quick wear & tear of my engine was due to CNG. QQ engine really does not like CNG and overheats.

Breakdown of Rs.80k maintenance is as follows (in sequence):
front wheel bearings - Rs.2k ea.
clutch wire + greasing - Rs.1.2k (changed twice)
Head Gasket changed twice due to overheat - 3k ea. time
new radiator fan - 4k
alternator repair - 3k
new waterbody - Rs.4k
new rings put in at 55k approx 8k along with some other work
AC Gas leaked after 3yrs, Gas charging - 2k
bumpers + 2 piece denting/painting - 10k
Windscreen cracked (god knows how), new screen - 6k
timing belt + bearing - Rs.5k
Complete Engine overhaul @90k km - Rs.25k
Clutch plate/pressure plate - Rs.5k clutch bearing Rs.1.2k
oil pump repair - Rs.2.5k
AC Gas leaked in 4th yr, Gas charging+cleaning - 4k

Now i've removed CNG kit and driving only on petrol (if anyone wants to buy used LandiRenzo Efi kit please contact me). Hope there are no further loses. Same could have happened in Mehran as well i guess but prolly would have cost less. But QQ drive/comfort much better than Mehran so it balances out.

Speedo sensor Rs.2800
Brake Master Cylinder Rs.5000
Front and right engine mounts
1800 + 2400 Rs.2200

     G.Total so far:        Rs.94k

Present meter reading 94000 Km. So thats about Rs.1/km
And i'm an easy going driver who takes care of his car with regular maintenance.
According to Perfect Chery most QQs on CNG have their engine overhauls at 60k km so i'm lucky!

last QQ imported was in 2006. There are no 08/09 QQs. Please read mine and other's experiences with CNG in our QQs before deciding to install it. Basically CNG is not successful in QQ.

You must be kidding if you have added the above regular maintainence stuff that i have highlighted
gas leaks in every car, windscreens break, bumpers and body scratches / dents need repaints, timing belt and its bearing is needed to be changed in Every car

By the way Cultus, Alto, Mehran they all need some bearing change before they complete their first 10,000 kms ! we had a brand new Mehran for sometime, its front brake pads were replaced before it completed its 1,000 kms run-in period.

And a question : how often do you change your car's oil ?
