i have to tell you. your lucky you have such a car. i strongly believe that you should step back and take a look at it. your fortunate enough to have one in such good condition. many caprices have now disappeared they used to be a common sight, good ones are rare now. yours looks amazing. if its currently running a diesel i think you should find its original 350ci (5.7 V8) and auto transmission. it'll probably be cheaper than a 2UZ-FE or 3UZ-FE. you'll have to do no modifications, the car will last longer. i hope you realize that the engine you will put in this car will not perform the way you imagine it to. to move such a large vehicle at a moderate pace you'll need a lot of low end torque, an american v8 cannot be matched in that department. a few tasteful changes such as a new carburetor and heads on a Chevy 350 will produce a good 300bhp and parts are available a dime a dozen, see Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts l 800-230-3030 for listings.
at least consider this option.
if you do however choose to go ahead with the swap etc, do it right, get the right mechanics for the job and ensure that the differential is changed as well to match the transmission and the engine, many people forget that. similarly upgrade the brakes as they will be a major let down in the future.

Timmy ur ryt that he needs a lotv low end torque to move the heavy metal welded together ,but the choice he made for 3uz-fe is very much suitable cz it also has a good low end torque,the difference between its original big block chevy 570 is that its 5.7L v8 whist 3uz-fe is 4.3 v8 means 1400cc less than original chevy big blovk but still if u put up twin turbo setup on it it'll be more efficient in performance and economical then the original chevy big block motor even if u supercharge it still twin turbo setup would be more powerfull however it sololy depends which turbno are u using. but the choice made for the motor is vry well suiting the project although i 110%agree that torqi sound cant be produced by a japenese engine which achevy or hemi would produce.but still overall its no less then its stock engine.

however its very true that these motors selected by airborne are the max by japenese while tawking about muscle cars u also get 6.2 corvette,hemi cuda etc etc.
or the special RB6.5DET v12 made specially for nissan skyine gtr for gt race series.(in japenese case)

my point is that a car is designed as a car for a reason as a complete car. yes swaps are common and possible but must be calculated. just because its a V8 doesnt mean it'll work. i just feel it will not be suited to the car. an american car needs an american V8, this will be no different than fitting another nissan RD28 (6cylinder diesel) or a toyota 2C coaster engine. the essence of the car will be ruined and just wont feel right.

bro my statement meant the heaviness of the car (weight wise) {low end torque=pick up @initial start}
Low end torque means the low end power produced by the motor(in lameman words)

yes bro i agree with u that getting some 2c or Rd28 or what ever the engine is would nodoubt trash the car.and ur very ryt that it be best with an american big block chevy,hemi or gmc motor but tawking about the engine Airborne selected i'm just trying to explain wit my lil knowledge that 3uz-fe being a v8 is also of the same class and when ge gets twin turbo setup on it he'll have to change the stock cam to adjustable cam gear etc etc hence in the end making the motor more powerfull then a normal american motor no matter its a chevy or hemi etc.
And after being the turbo charged it'l be still powerfull and economical to an extent then the original motors though i dont denie the fact that the original is the simple best swap cz for 3uz-fe some of the brackets and mount modification would be necessary but in the end still it'll turn out like beast

just a quick thought on this... The twin turbo will not be more economical then the chevy 5.7L v8...

Just another suggestion... u might be able to find deisel 6.2L chevy V8's in torkham or chaman etc... give it a try...other then that the stock 2UZ-FE also has some low end torque... enough to move the heavy chevy body...

bro 3uzfe vvti is 4.3L & if its twin turbo charged still it would be less then a 5.7L carby engine which would be like eating petrol hands full,yeah 2uz also has some good low end!

how many times have I heard that line: Daday ki nishanee. If you really cared about the CAR(dadda comes later), pls realise that proper professional car mods are just not possible in this country. We lack the skill, spares, and commitment to detail to achieve something that is worthwhile in terms of performance, reliability, and cost. Stick to the original engine. Impalas may not be rare in the USA, but they sure are here! And please, V8s and fuel economy are two words that cannot be uttered in the same sentence. You can either have one or the other. Why do we go buy expensive cars only to ruin them with cheap oil and petrol filters? That sadly is our mentality.
