not much used, so mark x wont be bad.plus its a different ( upper ) catagory with much more options then cruze. as for the backup support, nothing can be said about cruze too, bcuz they ppl at chevy dealers wud also be pakistani and wud take quite sum time to understand the car properly, parts are gonna be almost as expensive as mark x etc.

In India Cruze cost 12.99 lac as mentioned by @nickatnite here while in China it cost 13.4 lac whereas in Pakistan we are getting it for almost double its value i.e. 25 lac (A)

Its a currency difference bro. india's currency is higher then Pakistan's currency.

Well if you compare a zero meter Cruze with zero meter Mark X(or with some other similar category JDM car) that would be a better way to compare. A used 2007-2008 Mark X costs around 30 and there is no guarantee that the car has not been tampered with to be honest. At times very high mileage hit & repaired used cars end up in Pakistan.

Well before any new car is launched official 3s people get special maintenance training from company. The same also applies as far as other local manufacturers are concerned. So backup support is present, plus official Chevrolet dealers can provide parts easily. If if they don't have it in stock they can order and get it...its not that easy as far as used jdm cars are concerned(esp if they are rare ones).

If we consider the present exchange rate of Indian rupee the car roughly costs the equivalent of 23 lakhs Pak rupees in India also. Chevrolet Cruze is not a cheap car there also.

i heard (on PW some time back) that its comin to pak on jan 2010...can any1 tell me when its really comin to pak n at wat price?will they produce the the car here? ....n i hope that they dont cut luxuries..n if the price is 23 with decreased quality n luxuries...it may not be successfull

This is beutiful car but i doubt if its engine is as reliable as that of civic and altis........even for pakistani manufactured honda and corolla engine is not made here and that is the thing which in the end matters most ...looks and comfort comes as secondary things ....driving condition in our country are very hard ........I wish they start assembling these cars with 1.6 engine in pakistan with price tag of around 16-17 lacs then it might be some challange to local cars .......
