I'm a fan of the '57 Chevy too. Wonderful cars.
As for price - here's the bottom line: this car is worth precisely what the buyer is willing to pay for it. There's no such thing as a market price for these things over here. Having said that, 1.5 million does sound a wee bit steep.
I agree with Romano's assessment: this is a base (standard) model 4dr sedan - 6 cylinder, stickshift. Its value is therefore inherently less than the more desirable V8 and coupe variants BUT it's an incon all the same.
Less than 1.0 million, I would suggest. On the same note, back in 2003-4, I recall seeing a similar 4dr 57 Belair in ISB at 'Car and Cottage' showroom next to Mr. Chips, Jinnah Super F-7, in exactly the same colour combo. The car looked solid BUT was a nasty diesel conversion. Asking price was 350,000.
