Chey QQ - Speedometer - SOS

Hi Guys,

Bad luck to me , I just
Disassembled
the RPM and speed gage fixed in PCB of speedometer, both has 4 plastic gears each which I am not able to assembl and work properly.

Have tried almost all speedometer guys in

Rawalpindi

sadar and around, they simply refused to repair it as they are not updated with new technologies.

1- Can any one please refer to some sensible mechanic to get it repaired?

2- Alternative to have other compatible speedometer (like digital of Vitz or some other car)

your responses will be really appreciated. (Woh kehtey hein na, burray din akalay nehi aatay :'()

cant claim the insurence too

New one will cost me Rs. 14000, I need advice regariding alternative , agar ab laga na hi hey to digital display try kiya jay?

You will have to do some alteration for installation of digital one, and i will never recommend u for alteration.

they simply refused , even avoided to touch the meter.

seems they are scared it might be blast! , response of them is very discourging

Try Cheryh perfect motors in lahore. They do not have a dealership anymore but have a big workshop and I have seen many totalled Chery's being repaired there. They might give you a used one.

Like Vaqas1 said try Arshad or you could go to 'Goonga Meter Wala' in the Firebrigade market I cant remember his real name it was Iqbal something but goonga meter wala is written on the board of his shop. You can ask anybody there about goonga and they'll guide you.

Thanks for reference, old meter has been replaced with digital display one.

Arshad, the guy is nice and he seems only man who has large qty (not wide range) of digital meters.

I am posting my meter pics for comments from you all. (2nd picture in post is with old meter to compare both)

please let me know if I took right/wrong decision

How much did he took for this whole job?

The Heat/Fuel/RPM guage are they showing correct values?

Meter Price + Wiring : Rs. 6500

Fitting (Dash board alteration) : Rs 2000

Total : Rs. 8500

Heat : OK

Fuel: At time of fixing, seems OK (I had 40% petrol tank full and digital meter reflected that too), but I mostly drive on CNG and could not test if it drops signals while driving , but as you know EFI car starts on petrol, signal went down after some days . (but still need to confirm if it gauge works OK during drive)

RPM: My Chery is 3 cyl. and RMP adjusted @ 1000 , but digital meter shows 500 (Arshad says that meter made for 4 cyl cars so that due to this , please confirm this if this is case) however i have adjusted myself when to switch the gear according to new RMP Values)

the last thing is speed calibration , although it seems correct , but I still need to find its accuracy (any place in

Islamabad

where we can check this)
