yesterday around 9pm at shahra faisal a car behind my ride start start giving alot dipper and start honking the horn, i took the middle lane and let it pass as i saw some thing on the top of that car roof thinking of it as some police car, when that car crossed me i saw a kid head was that which i mistake as a police car light. and 2 young lads driving very fast. didn't understand the meaning of this action as its cold in night why to let child face cold wind. Allah hidayat day in sab ko Ameen.

A very important issue. Seen families traveling on bikes with 2.5" tires. Really? how can someone compromise their safety and most important, their kids safety to save some cash on rickshaw or something. That's a diff. case though.

Seat belts for kids, booster seats etc. is not widely available in Pakistan. I am not sure about big cities, ISB;LHR;KHI.
Police don't give 2 chits about HID's, forget the safety of kids :P. Saw a lady with her son in her lap. She must've been feeling proud.

And yes, Pakistani way of thinking " We are 'Muslims', leave it up to Allah. Seen over loaded trucks, rickshaws you name it falling over, due to no safety, and "Allah ke hawale". Once something happens to you, God forbid that's the day you learn. Literally.

My friend's mother passed away in a car accident- her friend who was driving was wearing a seatbelt, she wasn't. The car collided with a bike and she hit her head on the dashboard. My friend still regrets that day, and the first thing he does is to wear a seatbelt. Even my mom is" Au kuch nahi hota" and i don't drive until seatbelt isn't fastened

your own safety is in your own hands and will - if you fail to execute it you are doomed, e.g. when you have a sharp knife you dont jab it in your arm to know it hurts, you already know it hurts - then why not pay attention before monkeying with kids propped out of sunroofs.

Being on the road one is always exposed to risks specially when our local manufactured cars lacks safety features rather no safety features at all u have to secure urself n the risk is much more when there is any child with u n people on the road have almost no or least sense of driving, wrong overtakings, hard braking infront of u etc. So I always encourage to have a safe drive n wear seat belt n insist the person on passenger seat to wear it also. But my biggest concern is child safety in the car. As now kids r getting bigger n always insist to go out wid me in car so somebody has to carry them n most of the time on front passenger seat which i hated most. I dont like any kid to be seated on front seat So as a 1st step to minimize this risk I bought this child car safety seat cover and fixed it on rear seat. Found it a good product not costly at all, kids feel happy sitting there selves on the seat n peace of mind for me also. Surely will look for some better product also with enhanced safety features.
