as i type this - CPEC Highway is partially open for use by all, however only Tagged vehicles can travel across whole length with fuel bowzers and replenishment crew stagging over designated points.

non-tagged vehicles are sent back in either direction by the law enforcement agencies due to absence of fuel & breakdown support services.

So this means this road is currently not ready for travelling of common people, only the vehicles with spare fuel arrangements can travel through all the way, if such is the situation then fuel stations/rest areas at adequate distances must be made asap.

Can some member update regarding Hasanabdal-Abbottabad road. Few days back while going on motorway towards Peshawar, there was some construction going on near hasanabdal interchange. My friend told me that from here a new road will join Abbottabad. Can someone comment on this?

Whole of Pakistan takes 2 full years to produce $500 billion worth of goods and services. And China is going to invest that amount in Pakistan (which by the way is ~15% of all its foreign currency reserves)? Get real.

This is same as USSR's "investments" in North Korea. Prop up neighboring countries to fight potential proxy wars/battles etc. More than anything, this is a political "investment".

It will lower the cost of transporting goods from West China to the West (EU, NA etc). This will counter the higher costs of production in West China due to poor infrastructure and speed up development in that area. That's what they say.

There r no real friends during rainy days except if there is a vested interest

Though being an Economist I think this CPEC can only bring good for PAK Economy, which has seen a drop in FDI in the past
