Citric acid powder for radiator flush

Some one told me before doing this u have to remove engine suction pipe conctd with radiator ?? Is this better??

Really glad to see the conversation. I was planning to do this radiator flush using your suggested technique. Just wanted to know is it necessary to remove thermostat and then perform citric acid flush or it is okay to go with thromostat plugged in too?

you need to remove the thermostat

If you are not going to remove the thermostat then you need to somehow find a way to backflush the engine from behind the thermostat and deal with very hot flush acid. So in that case I would suggest you remove it - its very easy anyway on your car.

If you lack basic tools - dont do any flush on your own

What if thermostat is hard to reach for a DIY project?M13a Suzuki swift.
Can i clean it with thermostat and wait until fan kicks in.or drive car at high speed for 20 mins.

i think it will be little bit dangerous but if radiator is not clocked with all rust then it will work. but after that you have to flush for which you have to remove thermostat otherwise then you have to flush it again just like you are trying to clean it like drive for 20 mins so it circulates which will increase the time and fuel and other costs as well.

Flush it from the heater hose pipes.

I did same procedure of tatri and meetha soda but I did not took out T stat valve will it have any effect

Yes, there might me some acid left in the system and might cause the destruction of the system. remove the t-stat and re-perform the flush.

It was recommended to cleaned with T valve removed.
