I have owned both 1.3 and 1.5 manual
For me, the 1.5 had good fuel economy if you drive between 80-90. Poor gear ratios end up making the engine be at 3700rpm at 120km/h thus consuming more fuel. The best i could manage with my 1.5 manual on long travel was 14 with speeds at 110-120. The 1.3 manual gave me around 16-17 on the same speeds.
