City 2005 Ac not cooling

Weekend pe ja rahi hun na....but just wanted to do some homework before going there. My experience, most mechanics are rip offs if you go without any information.

Hi All Dear Pakwheelers.
In need of help again. My city 2005 AC is NOT working as expected.
In morning and evening time, the cooling is good(but not as good as my 97 civic), but at noon, it just blows air. Not cool at all.
One of my fellow told me, "city ka AC aisa hi hota hai, buhut fazool hai". Some say, might be low gas because of gas leakage. Some say, city AC is awesome and just go for AC service.

Questions: How much does AC service for city cost?
From where should I do that in Islamabad, Abu Bakar, Universal Gas?
if low gas becuase of leakeage, then how does it work in morning and evening?
Most importantly, What do you experts think is wrong.

Your response in this regards is highly appreciated. Thanks all. I will be visiting the mechanix this weekend, so please help me as soon as possible.

You being a lady should go to Honda 3s. In islamabad its honda classic motors in I 10/3. Heres the link for thier phone no.

Local mechanics will make sure you keep on visiting them whereas you can create a situation if its honda. I would go to honda if i were in your shoes.
City's AC is quite good so you should get it checked. Hope it helps.

AC of Honda city idsi is not that bad. There is some problem in your cars AC system. There is also a possibility that your car is heating up that is why the AC compressor shuts off as the engine gets too hot.

Lady or not lady for a 2005 model best will be honda 3s. They will charge around 6000Rs for this.

City,s ac is good enough.

a colleague got his Alto's ac fixed from pakistan car AC (the guy who has distributed/pasted more stickers then najoomi ss kazmi )

AC worked 2 days only

well a well the cooling of ac works on simple principle, the greater the temp diff the better cooling it does, therefore in morning and evening it cools better.
just try to remember k if your city had any head on collision? this may lead to leakage,other than that if you had any issues with radiator maybe fixing it caused the condenser fins to choke...could be another reason.
generally ac leaks are really very hard to find so i would suggest you to replace pipes and the gas dryer bottle (locally they say ac wali botal :p)
try finding a guy who gives nitrogen pressure to check leakages as usually mechanics give hawa wala pressure hence contaminating the dryer (the desiccant absorbs moisture from air hence making it unfit to be used)
gas filling is 2500, and mazdori is 500-1k depending on the dress u wear, dirtier ur dress is cheaper their rate is-seriously
no ideas on costs of pipes.i had city 2004 same model as yours and believe me the ac was really really well.
or maybe u have no problem and the gas just lost some properties over a long period of time 2013-2005=8years and you just need gas refilling.
just for getting a start i would suggest u to go to mechanic and tell him to refill the gas,if it works well for a week or so then you are good if not then you should go for the above mentioned process,telling this cuz ac leak finding may cost u some 4-5 hours

unless this lady is a true gearhead like a few I knew in Karachi who would actually work with their own hands on cars while wearing shalwar qameez - she wont be getting cheap rates. Ratty clothes lady + nice car in Pakistan = no sense, maybe mistaken for kaam waali.

If you cant afford 3S find a honest AC Mechanic. The Mechanic i use I have a full season guarantee for any AC work i got done from him... Last time my ac pipe got busted he not only changed pipe also got me gas no charges paid in the end he had to pay from his pocked..
Plus he knows his work and started installing 134 Gas with multi aisle condenser's when people were not even aware of the difference between serpentine and multi aisle.

Thank you All for your kind suggestions (and jokes ).
To summarize the whole story short, I did went to Abu Bakar. Took my driver with me. Left the driver and car with abu bakar after finalizing the price and everything.

Its just that the car a/c unit needed cleaning/servicing. Nothing else wrong with ac. total charges 2800, including service labour and gas recharging. Time taken was just above an hour and a half.

I would say, Abu Bakar is really a good person and honest too. Car A/C is now awesome, no matter how much is the heat outside.
