City IDSI Problem, Help Plz!>>>

Hi Fellow Pakwheeler's,

I recently bought a 2005 City IDSI(M/T). At first I was astounded by the fuel economy of this car, I did 440 Kilometers From Peshawar to Faisalabad with more than half a tank of fuel left(I did fill the tank up to the brim though) I was driving at 110k/hr average all the way without A/C.

Now the issue i am having is that my car's fuel economy got worse and worse over time. Last time i made the same trip of 440 Kilometers I just had less than quater of a tank full without the A/C. I have checked my average in the city and it is simply horrible!!, around 8K/L(Mind you this is with the AC on)

After a lot of searching here on Pakwheels I took it to a mechanic and had the following done.

1-Throttle body cleaned.
2-Tappet adjustment.
3-Spark plugs checked.
4-Checked ECU, Twice!.
5-New Air Filter(several times).
6-Oil Change(several times).
7-Oil filter (several times).

I am seriously considering the option of at least adding a CNG kit now but i know it will be a nightmare, or at most sell out the car.

Kindly help me out, i'd really appreciate it.

This car is full of problem in my opinion. That's why I dislike this models.

BTW Is your car reducing water????
Which Engine oil are you using?? I would recommend Honda Genuine Fully Synthetic Oil for your car.
Also check your car at dealership. Hopefully they will dig out the problem

Actually i was really pleased with this car, it has not given me any issu all this time but lately it's been very disappointing cuz of the consumption. No it keeps the water level for weeks on end. I have heard those Honda Dealership people are rip offs so i have just been trying to avoid them. I guess i have no other choice left?

the car is pretty good on cng just get it installed from an expert technician and use a proper kit with proper emulator and advancer
if properly tuned my car gives around 18 km without A/C and 15 with A/C
and if driven kinda roughly 11-12 km with A/C

not sure about the price.should not be more then 1000/1500 a wild guess
as far as i know prior to 2006. there was no catalytic converter else that could also be added in the check list

Get your fuel injectors cleaned, you will have to remove intake manifold in-order to access it. That?s a most neglected service and I have seen people complaining like hell on all the efi cars once they don?t service or clean it after 100k.
I own i-DSi with 120k on clock, recently I got that serviced myself after experiencing same 8km/l. now I am kind of enjoying it as fuel economy is back to 14km/l with hard foot.

You will get a chance to re-clean throttle body, intake manifold, do tappet settings because accessing it requires removal of all these.

This car does not have any faults so ignore misleading suggestions.

get in touch with a Landi Renzo dealer/installed in your City because im not sure about the exact model
btw did you notice any decrease in performance of your car ? and how much is your car driven ?

Performance is the same, No other issues. My car is driven around 190K!!!.

I guess i will visit a 3S and get it properly checked one last time, If that does not work then CNG it is i guess.

did you get the fuel filter replaced ? if not then get it done and also get your cars injectors cleaned (ultrasonically)

Get the vehicle diagnosed by the diagnostic tool as one of the sensors may not be performing well
Get the ignition timing checked along with ignition timing advance auto operation
Check for any fuel leakages from fuel tank up to the fuel rail and injector
Use manufacturer recommended viscosity grade motor oil
