Better to go for basic version and get the aftermarket stuff that Aspire offers. Besides, Aspires have low resale as compared to a basic version City.

is it better to get aftermarket rims and navigation compared to the ones provided by Honda?
the Navigation costs 50,000 roughly, fog lamps and rear speakers cost 10,000. not sure how much rims would be worth and how is it dealt in terms of warranty

Stop spreading wrong information, my city gives 15-16 with ac in city driving. On the other hand gli gives 12. Aspire has navigation, leather seats, fog lamps, alloy rims. If you don't fancy leather seats and rims dpnt matter Alot to you then go for normal city and buy some aftermarket navigation.

leather seats don't matter and rims don't seem worth the 74000 difference.

Aftermarket stuff will definitely be cheap as compared to getting the same stuff from the dealership.

You can also get used Aspire rims aftermarket.

One thing I just remembered is that aftermarket stuff can void your warranty such as installing aftermarket fog lighs will void your electrical warranty.

well, the fog lights and speakers only cost 10,000 so I'm willing to spend that amount.

city ivtec mt is vfm, dont waste money on expire. expires ff dvd nav has lag and reverse cam is v slow indeed

Aftrermarket navigation will be better, 30000 unit would be perfect, just find a good mechanic who doesn't mess up.

Y do u wana waste ur money on brand new city? It isnt worth 1.7 million

2 mahinay bad to iska interor fad honay lg jata h. + fuel economy of this isnt isnt as gud as u might expect. Only old (idsi) city was insanely fuel efficient

brother 3 of my friends have honda city(one has sold his now), 2 manual(one converted to aspire with after market goodies) and an 2011 auto.

the mileage of manual is better than all 1.0(except wagon r) and 1.3 cars in Pakistan.

the 2011 auto is at some 70,000km and its interior is still like new one from showroom.

being auto it has bad mileage but only when compared to manual city(4 kmpl difference in auto vs manual) but when driven economically it crosses 10.5 kmpl(actual, meter shows around 12) mark in urban driving which is better than a suzuki alto on stock carb.

You should go with a basic non-aspire variant for city and get aftermarket goodies but i would advise against leather seats. Surely they look good and have a good feel but in this weather where the tempurature is hitting almost 50 everyday then they will get HOT really hot.

You are about to spent 1.6 million rupees on a car and trying to save some around 1.5 lacks by buying basic variant.........
Aspire is much better than simple i V TEC.
genuine goodies are hassle free and always better then cheap Chinese made goodies available in market
so my advice go for aspire

Aspire is worth its price if you get the 1.5L variant IMO, and as you're getting a M/T anyway 1.5 aspire would be my choice because it has quite a bit of extra power at your disposal whenever you need it while also being very efficient with a light foot. The maximum mileage I've achieved yet on my 1.5L is 12.8 km/l(within city) and the car's only 2200 kms driven so you'd expect it to get even better.

1.3 offers about 1km/l better fuel economy but the power and drive difference of the 1.5l more than makes up for a slight fuel eco decrease.

EDIT: ok didn't realize the guy above me dug up this thread 9 months later.
Anyway, I'll leave my opinion for other readers.

Hey I bought City Aspire 1.5 MT in Feb 2017. It is giving me 12.8km/l as well in Lahore city. I only driven it 450km. At one point the average went up to 13.2km/l but not it is stable at 12.8. And I completely agree with you about the power of the car. It feel really amazing when you push the paddle just a little bit and the car just takes off and breaks are amazing as well. Anyone buying City Aspire I would suggest that you go for 1.5L instead of 1.3L.

It is simple math .if you want q.5 go for aspire .if you want 1.3 go for non aspire version .i have checked from market .the junk that Honda puts in aspire is worth only 60,000 rs as a whole in market for which they want to charge 1.50 lakh from customer . So whoever has money growing on trees should get aspire .peace .
