Civic 08, Accord CL7 or Mark II?

Bhai itna mat socho..rebon civic lay lo aap. U will have piece of mind with the civic as its market car everything available easily enjoys better resale market ki gari hay. With the accord u will always fear of something going wrong and spending a lot on repairing it. Accord is better car but civic is also not a bad car to own and enjoy. My 2 cents. Decision is yourz.

Accord is a great car no doubt about that
But civic reborn is really nice too
You can get 10 / 10 condition Civic if you search properly
But 95% of the accords are in a bad condition now and gives a really old feel the moment you open the door
When I was choosing between these two in 2012 I went for 2010 used Reborn and it was the right decision
Overall I think you should go for civic 2008/2009

the accord is a FWD car with transverse engine mount - meaning the engine front faces the right fender of the car, the 2JZ is a straight six made for RWD applications - if you place it and measure it - its entire length is about the whole engine room width of the accord - we also know you need a gearbox - so the only way to put that in is to make the car L shaped - with the engine sitting outside over the rightside fender and tire.

for all the ppl in this thread saying accord will give a feel of old car I don't understand how my daily runner used to be 2010 collora xli in 2010 after it got stolen I bought a used 2006 liana now the car is 8 cars old and I never had a feel of a old car in it we are discussing accord here accord will surely have better build quality

I dont think you know what you are talking about.

the 4wd accord comes with transverse mount with centre diff setup through the axle shaft and going to the rear diff through its driveshaft (like lancer evo) - toyota 2JZ is a straight six engine and cannot in any way shape or form fit in a FWD transverse mount setup unless the car is 10ft wide.

most of these accords are using "aftermarket" parts for repairs - e.g. the rear control arm bushings from Honda are very nicely made and when installed correct give the correct ride quality you expect, similar for brakes, shocks etc.

only 1% of people in Pakistan actually bother to buy real genuine OE parts (usually come from outside Pakistan) and the rest 99% buy the japani, china, taivaan category of parts which are then installed with sloppy workmanship shops which never had access to the workshop repair manual of these cars.

The car will never ride correct with those.

Xulifqar bhai, if someone is selling a well maintained CL7 with a complete service history, everything in perfect condition and properly maintained with no issues in the car at the present, would you still recommend not to purchase it ?

You said that bushes have to be changed, brake pads etc, mind telling after how much kms or time period they are worn out and have to be replaced ?

Why not cl9?

CL9 is 2400cc, so more fuel consumption, price will be more then the CL7, luxury tax is applied on the cars above 2000cc's, token tax will be higher then the CL7 and probably much more.
