Hi guys.. I'm having heating issue in my car. Went to Lahore on M2 from Islamabad. Went on the 120 Speed. No over speeding done but radiator's top tank got burst and car's heat gauge went on top. I did neutral the car and heat gauge came down to normal. While moving on neutral parked the car. Open the hood and saw the burst tank of radiator. I was near thokar niaz interchange. Moved the car slowly for 2kms then stopped and filled water. Doing the same thing for every 2kms reached home as it was late night.
Note: I did checked the radiator's water level and bottle's too. Check engine oil also before leaving for lahore.
Went to mechanic and he told me that I need to change the gasket. while opening the head, the mechanic told me that Head's 4 bolts have been changed and altered. This is not good. well I got the gasket changed and radiator's tank changed. Did a test run on canal road from Jail Road to Thokar and back. Car was perfectly fine. Came back to islamabad.
Now last sunday, again moving towards lahore my car's heat gauge raised. I was near Chakri. Stopped at the rest area and checked. Radiator's cap was not very hot but Bottle was filled with boiling water. I was literally hearing the boiling water's sound.
Please help me what to do. Did checked the thermostat valve. cleaned the radiator. Mechanic says it's because of those 4 altered bolts and I need to change the Head assembly.
