Ahaan. engine of civic 2004-5 fits on bolts? any differences like in wheel base or gear?

a vendor in Bilal Ganj lahore is asking 65k for D15b assembly without wiring. I'm trying to get the wiring also. will visit today after jumma prayer to negotiate. he is asking 12k additional for wiring and ecu.

Here’s the thing I’m not sure on it myself
If anyone could pitch in and clarify this matter whether the pk6 engine in the 6th gen is actually a d16y8 or what people say is actually a d16y6 supposedly. And if the intakes are similar
Cuz I wanna buy it for my d17
And as far as if a 2004 civic engine will fit.
My car (2000 civic) has a d17 from a Japanese 05 civic. And the manual gear of pk6 works with it far as I know.
Wiring will need work of course and engine mounts need some fabrication as these engines are a bit different from rest of the d series but have way better low end torque.

Btw Japanese 05 civic uses d17a and Pakistani 04-05 civic uses d16w9 which is visually identical and same mounts etc as far as Ik but Pakistani has 3 stage vtec and about 128ish hp and Japanese one has single vtec and allegedly (and this is very debated haha) has 140hp with 10.5 compression.
Just an addition ,you maybe able to get d17z engine cheaper as it’s like 120hp and non vtec but otherwise similar and I asked in sultan khu pindi about 2 months ago a very clean assembly was for 30k before negotiations. But that’s assembly only.

Assembly should be 50k at max if very clean. Because assembly has just head and block. Injectors tb sensors are not present. And only assembly if 65k is too expensive, why not buy complete engine with wiring without transmission for 70k? And D17A will cost you complete 50-60k at the max. Mounts are same for all D series but I won’t advise you to put that in as it needs bit fabrications in wiring.

Never get assembly and while you need to change complete engine. As assembly is expensive and not reliable. You get complete d15b without transmission in 70k and assembly of d15b dual vtec is for 50k, in other 20k you get wiring intake injectors distributor compressor ps pump and other sensors. So in 20k you get these much things. So a complete engine is usually in good condition and overall costs less compared to assembly.

I don’t know anyone in lahore. Your best bet is to search all of bilal gunj. Wait for the clean and complete engine, and get it installed.

Actually I bought it from an uncle with the set up haha , his son swapped it in and I bought it cuz it was well maintained.
But like I said d17a is a bit more expensive and rarer and d17z is more common these days as I’ve seen and assembly is like 30k. Wiring should be 7k or maybe more and then you’ll have to worry about fitting. Some slight modification is needed for mounts and maybe if a sensor here or there needs changing. The d17 air box will fit your d16 air pipe and everything else should work too including transmission if it’s manual don’t know about auto. Just get a new radiator if yours isn’t the best (3500 rs) cuz from my experience d17 gets a bit warm haha. Also use coolant not water the aluminum pipes like to rust and just don’t overheat it as it’s an aluminum block and the head gas kits aren’t the strongest. I’d use the d16 powersteering pump as d17 ones aren’t very long lasting and anything else you might wanna know about d17 lemme know.
Also manual ecu is like 10-14k from what I’ve heard but auto ecu works fine and good enough unless you have the budget.

Also i can understand lots of people preferring a d15b as it’s bolt on and all but keep in mind some of those engines are even over 20 old.
D17s are a lot more recent and have coils not a distributor another very annoying thing of old Honda’s.
Yes it need some preventive work and modification but it is an option if you can source a cheap d17 do look for it as they’re available at decent prices from what I’ve seen esp d17z

either the bulbs are fused, or the fuse has blown. please check the fuse box to ensure all fuses are ok.

then take apart the panel to check the bulbs

If the speedometer parking light doesn’t work as well then it’s probably the fuse ( if I’m not mistaken they have the same fuse). Or like said above check the bulbs they might’ve fused.

Right! My speedometer lights are working but very Dim and what is method to change speedometer bulbs. Are original bulbs bright enough? Thanks for all the replies.
