Today morning, I waited for almost 15 minutes so that car reaches operating temperature. I watched very closely and after temperature rises from 70 to 80, I started seeing water appearing on the top tank crimping area from multiple places. So its confirmed that radiator cap or the tanks itself or hose doesn't leak.
I went to the radiator shop from where I got it replaced last year. He said this does happen and its not unusual. Now we need to see if the tank is leaking or only the inside seal. If tank is leaked, it will cost 2000 for everything and if its only leaking from crimping area, it will cost me 700 rupees. He said they we will put silicone in it.
Whereas my experience with silicone is not good. The radiator in corolla also leaked from the tank and it was repaired with silicone. Now till date it has seepage.
What should I do? Will check how much it is loosing coolant and then decide.
