Civic 2000 D15Z6 engine swapped (Many issues)

So today I went to my mechanic for auto fan and thermostat. He removed the clip from the fan switch harness. As engine reaches half temp on temp gauge, the car starts missing and rpm dropping and then shuts off. He said that your car is not set so first go to an electrician. I went to one he referred. He revved the engine and he said your car is drinking petrol as it is giving black smoke and water. He said that he will set this engine on this stock ecu and wiring and he will take around Rs 8k to 9k. The fuel economy will be around 10 km max. No fault will be there when connected to scanner.

Now please advise what to do?

Your car is messed up. You have to start from scratch. Don’t rely on these morons who ate saying that me apko set kr du ga 10 ki average de gi. Go step wise. First check that if 3 pin connector is working, go to any electrician with scan if he has 3 pin plug get your car scanned, note down any codes present. Then sort it out, thermostat valve and fan on genuine position temp needle in middle of gauge is must. Then check MAP and TPS with Ignition Timing.

Thermostat nikal ke phenk do yeh sirf Japan me chalta hai udher baraf parti hai idher garmi hai. User manual tells to pour 5W30 but hazrat mechanic tells to pour all time famous havaleen 20W50. Coolant nikal do pani dalo yeh lohey ko kha jae ga

I don’t know any mechanics in Karachi who have experience in Honda’s. @capsat you may guide him to members who own Honda in Karachi so OP can go to a proper mechanic and get his car sorted out.

Why the engine start missing and stop when It reaches the optimum temp?

Cel light is also off

There can be many things, which can cause this. Check if any workshop or sane mechanic has compression tester with him then check the engine compression and report the values. If it has good compression then other small things can be sorted out.

Change the mechanic, he is not competent and not willing to diagnose the root cause. The electrician is also trying to rip you off, stay away from him.

Now the fan is running auto. Temperature is at half. Car is idling wirh 1200 rpm when temp reached

Now what should be the next step?
he says that run the car for few days then we will see what should be done. It's my first time I went to the mechanic who swapped this engine in 2015. He says I had put in the thermostat and the fan was auto but in between these years you have change it to direct by some other mechanic. This car was under use by our driver from the start and now I have this car.
How much time should engine take to reach the optimum temp if car is idling? My car is taking more than 10 minutes with no electrical load and no ac when idling

Your car doesn’t have thermostat valve. Ensure cooling system is clean and leak free, pour fresh coolant and install new thermostat valve. Also make sure there is no air present in system.

Caltex, mix it in 50/50 ratio with distilled water. Also flush out heater core, as it rusts out by continuous usage of water.
