When I was at mosque and car was not starting, there was no water in engine bay but after it start after 15 minutes, I was so worried so I drive fast so that's why water reaches engine bay.

This adapter is working with my corolla 2002 with some strings in torque app.@shabbir.1 en I connect to civic it does not work. I have tried the k line to pin 7 and also pin 14 but it didn't work

I think hondash is the only solution as I have searched a lot and nobody ever seems to get it work elm327.

This is not the right way to make connection with this device. Either buy a honda 3 to 16 pin adapter cable or make proper soldered connections otherwise.

I have searched alot and no one ever is able to communicate with the ecu with elm327. Even people bought 3 pin to 16 pin and more expensive elm327 scanners but still it didn't work.

Pin 14 will never work, these honda models only communicate using K-Line on pin 7. Further lite version of torque won't work you have to purchase Torque Pro version.

Then try this device this will work, the one you are using is based on a cheap clone of ELM 327 chip.

It is was available on pakwheels store and also on daraz. Also order 3 to 16 pin converter cable and check it's connections, pin 7 on obd2 connector should be connected with pin 3 on your car DLC connector.

Are you sure it will work? Have you checked it yourself? I have read on international forums and no one ever have made elm327 work with 3pin. Not even a single post I have seen.
I have made my mind to buy the hondash. Because 3 pin to 16 pin is already costing minimum 1k and also there is confusion about pin config. And branded elm327 is also costing above 2k ruppes. Hondash is costing me 6000 with shipping from uk and it gurrantees.

If the Torque version you have got give you access to select communication protocol of your choice then it's fine.

This car's ecu only communicates when it is initialized by transmitting an initializing byte at 5 bits per second rate (5 bauds).

Once initialization phase is successfully completed then the obd device requests data from the ecu though a known set of PIDs (parameter IDs) and in return dispalys those values on a GUI.

Have you ever seen elm327 working with 3 pin dlc?

Buy and install fender shields also try to find engine shield.
Check the front rubber gasket underneath the bonnet it should not be torned and try to lower your speed when passing though a puddle of water.

I think when I drive to the mosque I was driving very slowly and when it was not starting at the mosque I open the bonnet and there was no water on the engine but still it was not starting. When it start after 15 to 20 minutes cranking again and again then I was not ready to leave the accelerator and then I drive violently and when I reach home there was a lot of water in the engine bay. But I remember when I was at the mosque and It was not starting there was no water in the engine bay.

Hondash device is also based on ELM 327 chip. There are two things involved here, hardware and the application software.

For the application software part you have got the Torque pro version that gives you an access to choose a communication protocol of your choice but the on the otherhand the hardware (with a firmware running at it's heart) must also support that particular communication protocol or otherwise it should fail to respond.

How do you get this information? Secondly what about that 3 pin to 16 pin it is also not cheap and there is a confusion about pin config. And the scanner you are recommending is also more than 3k.
I will try with this device which I have buying jumping the wires again tomorrow. If it didn't work I have to buy hondash.

Because, I have once gone through all this pain. At that time people and also few experts on this forum used to say that these pre 2000 models civic don't work with a scanner device at all. These ECUs are fully dumb and only good to produce MIL and the DTC should be read through a series of blinks.

I bought Hondash back in 2014 or 2015 if I recall it correctly, at that time it costed me around 7000 PKR.

Before investing more money I would suggest you to make proper connections with the device that you already have. Select the right communication protocol and see if it works. If it don't then buy the ancel icar2 device, I haven't checked it myself but I believe that it should work. Even if doesn't work you can still use it with your second car or you can sell it later on.
