Issue comes in some vehicles. And Honda changes it under warranty, without a penny. Go for it .

What do you mean by they ditched?
My car’s steering tack is pending for 5 months now! What do you suggest?
Also my car is making weird noises from the rack like some sort of a rattling sound on bumps and on turns!

Keep pushing. Consistent followup is required .

If it is in warranty, it will be easily replaced . If our of warranty, then mite push is required .

If it doesn't happen then get it improved throughout.mechanic or even honda dealership who can put grease to improve the sticking behaviour as have been done by few people

this is a universal problem nowadays, I live in USA, and am still waiting on parts ordered in late december and they are Ford parts too. (ghar ki kheti)

a lot of japanese brand car parts are backordered with no ETA.

Go to local.mechanic, some people have been able to improve it by applying some grease type thing from local mechanics.

But needs to explore in your city first before finalising .

Get part from market as Honda may take another couple of months

People have been able to address this issue by application of grease .

It is two step

Launch quality claim. It takes 4-5 months minimum.
Apply grease and issue is resolved temporarily

They would be able to apply grease as well
